I rarely write reviews but this required an excpetion. We bought 6 of these due to the fact they were inexpensive and seemed comfortable. This was a $108 mistake. All 6 are broken in less than a year after a couple of uses. They break if you sit on them, if the wind blows them over, or if you stack them in cold storage. Absolute garbage. Tried to return them as they had a 1 year waranty, but apparently that's only for workmanship. Not sure what that means as clearly the workmanship was bad or they wouldn't have all broken, but whatever. Lesson learned... you get what you pay for. These are trash.

Within one year, two out of four of these chairs broke. An arm literally cracked off while a guest was sitting in it, and the backs crack apart from normal usage. These were stored in the winter and well taken care of. Absolute garbage! I have other plastic chairs that are on their 5th season. DO NOT BUY.

I've had about 4 different types of plastic Adirondack chairs and I like this Adirondack Leisure brand the best. It's plenty wide and quite comfortable. The distance between the arms is 21". I like the straight back MUCH better than the ones with the curved back. As plastic furniture goes, these are pretty sturdy and if you don't treat them roughly, they'll last many seasons.
The ground where I use mine can sometimes be soft after it rains, so I always fasten a piece of pressure treated board across the bottoms of the legs, front and back, using drywall screws. Not only does this prevent the legs from sinking into the ground, but it stiffens any twisting that may occur, and reinforces the chair. This makes them last even longer.
If you're looking for plastic ADK chairs, I definitely recommend these, espeically at the price. And they're made in USA.

These are great chairs for the money. We bought 15 of them for our lake cabin 5 years ago.they lasted for a long time & were very comfortable. They do crack eventually. This year we are buying 15 more to replace our old ones.

We wanted Adirondack chairs for our yard and did a lot of research on-line. These were the best design for the best price and no assembly required. Very comfortable and sturdy. Love em!

I bought 15 of these chairs because in store I liked how comfortable they were and the design of the overall chair. I bought them in the spring it was still cool out they worked great, but when summer hit they went down hill fast. in the sun or in the shade with the heat they became very weak and would bend we were sitting next to walls to stay up the backs would bend back like a bed then the legs would give and do the splits all without breaking the plastic just gets very pliable like its going to melt.
