The auger and bushings seized up just one week after the stove was installed. U.S. Stove's website doesn't stock the parts to repair the auger. I had to search someplace else to buy them myself. There are no repairmen near here so I had to fix it myself, as well.
The hopper is not as big as advertised. It only holds about 40 pounds of pellets. It barely runs through the night without running out. On the lowest heat setting I can only run it about 10 hours before it needs to be refilled. On a higher setting I will have to fill it during the middle of the night.
The front door doesn't seal well and there is no adjustment to fix it. This causes a little air to leak by the side windows. It also causes them to stain very quickly and it is almost impossible to clean off.
I'm not happy with this stove. It's putting out heat now, so, it's better than the old broken one that I had. It's better than nothing but next time, I will choose a different brand.

I live in the mountains of Colorado. I bought a new 5660 pellet stove in July, and installed it in August.
First of all: The "thermostat" is not really a thermostat. I only regulates the heat output when the room temperature falls below the temperature that you set. In my case, when I first started using it, the temperature reached 88 degrees when I had to shut it off. The first Customer Service representative told me that my pellets were too small and that I should pick out the small ones as I am pouring in the pellets!!!! It took me speaking with three different people, finally a manager, who explained that it is not really a thermostat.
Here is the worst problem: I have used the pellet stove probably 20 times over the past 2 months, and have broken/jammed the auger four times. US Stove did send me a replacement auger after the first one broke (not just the pin but the bottom of the auger). I was totally mislead on how to remove the auger, and it took 2 calls to get the correct directions. Now, we are at 5 degrees below zero, and the auger has jammed again, and broken the pin again! Home Depot said it will replace it even though I am just outside of my 90 day warranty, but I have to bring it in (30 minutes to get to the store), get a credit on my credit card, and then they can order a replacement. I don't think I am outside of my warranty period since this problem has been happening since I first started using it. Home Depot won't order one for me so that I can pick up the new one when I drop off the old one. I will be in freezing for days until Home Depot get the replacement in.
US Stove and/or Home Depot should stand up and do the right thing. Send the replacement stove to the store, and let me know when it comes in. I will then exchange my bad one for one that hopefully works better.

First of all would like to give all who reads this review a little back round on myself, I'm a 3rd generation masonry contractor from the upper Midwest where it gets cold in the winter months. I purchased this stove in February of 2014 and did not install it until this past November. Immediately after installing this stove the auger seized up and twisted the bottom of the auger off, I called US Stove and they sent me a replacement auger out ( 1 week later, couldn't expedite shipping without me paying ! ). I installed the new auger and within 5 days the auger broke in the same place as the original one. I immediately contacted US Stove and explained my dilemma to a customer service rep who assured me she would take care of the situation promptly. Numerous phone calls and emails later, no response. Finally I got Home Depot's customer service on the phone and they conference called US Stove, after apologizing for the inconvenience they assured me that a technician would be out to take care of the problem. I have never had a worse experience with customer service in my life, I would not just recommend not purchasing this stove, I would stay away from US Stove all together and recommend Home Depot not sell US Stove products.

Well, I really looked around for pellet stoves. Every store here in So Cal want more then 3K for a unit that would heat my 1500 square foot A frame house. Its an open ceiling clear to the roof in the living room, and I was quite unsure whether any pellet stove would suit my needs of wanting to get out of another tremendous winter propane expense.
It came the day that they said it would, and I installed it a month ago in preparation for the cold. Sure enough last week we had a cold front come through that put the outside temp at 43 degrees, and that was the test.
Although it took the stove a while to get heated up, It kept the inside temp on this old house at 70 degrees on the lowest setting. Needless to say IM IMPRESSED!. I only burned a half a bag of pellets in those 10 hours, and because Im a little new at this, I cleaned it out the next day. There was only a sprinkling of ash in the ash pan (maybe a half a teaspoon), and it was easy peasy to vacuum out everything else. Took about 3 minuets.
Im still a new pellet stove owner, and things could still go wrong. But for me this stove was almost half price from what others wanted, and for now I couldn't be happier with the way that it works.

I ordered this pellet stove to help with our heating costs. The stove we recieved is not the stove we ordered. The one in this picture is what we were expecting. I wanted the control panel on the side...a little more hidden. They have changed it so the panel is on top centered. Try to hide that!! Also...from the description they make it sound as though you can control two things...the amount of pellets being used or how how hot it's getting....and the fans to blow the heat around. Yup, no...it's combined. Turn up the fan and go through pellets like crazy!!! Went through two bags within 24 hours the first night!!
It's a nice looking stove. It does create heat. So far I am not getting 2200 sq ft of heat. My basement is warm. But I guess we will see.

Don’t buy this stove, I purchase one at Home Depot in September, and then found out it has to be cleaned every day. I have tried many different brands of pellets, and if you use the good all hard wood pellets (I paid $5.50 per bag), you may have to clean it twice a day. Before I realized how bad the stove is, it literally stacked pellets on top of the pot, and it started burning up the pellet chute. The manufacturer sent me another controller board (took 3 weeks to ship it to me), but it made no difference, so I am going to deal with this piece of junk this winter, and scrap the stove this spring. Do not make the same mistake I did, do not buy this stove.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by guyfly52050 I recommend this stove-great price value
After reading the reviews I was sure this stove was for us. I shopped around quite a bit before making my decision. This stove puts out much more heat than our old stove. We live at 8300 ft. in Colorado and needed a stove that would work well and put out heat. Although I installed it in August we had unusually cold and damp weather. The temp got down to the low 40's so we turned on the stove in the morning and were very pleased. However, the exhaust pipe on the back of the stove is in-set. Therefore you will need a 4" extension to attach to your tee. Also, it is cast iron so you'll have to seal it well with high temp silicone-no metal screws. Also, the fans are noisy. But, we would rather have the heat. You can override the fan settings. Great price-can't beat it!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by EriktheRed1 great looking stove, easy to use!
Really like the style of this stove. The controls are easy to use. Heats well.
The hopper only holds 45lbs so the burn time is only approx 10 hrs. The fan noise is a little loud but I'm getting used to it.
