as a kid my parents used a unit similar to one of these my question if the power goes out and blowers stop working do you have to put out fire so as not to burn up blowers as a teen anytime power went out we had to put fire out
Asked by: Mack
it would be a good idea, you typically would want to remove the plenum as well untill either power came back on, or the fire dies out.

Customer Reviews

3,000 sq. ft. Coal Only Warm Air Furnace with Dual 800 CFM Blowers is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from USSC 1602R Wood Furnace This furnace exceeded my expectations with heating a 3000 sq. ft. house at 0 degrees F, using my existing ductwork. It can easily keep my entire house at 70+ degrees. The construction of the fire box is solid, but the overall unit, in my opinion is built to "adequate" standards... blowers are built in China and Mexico. For someone who has only heated with a woodstove, I would have liked more documentation/instruction on proper operation, with an explanation of how the limiting switch functions with the draft blower and primary blowers. I recommend to start out with a SMALL fire first, so you don't overfire, which is, unfortunately what I did.
