Customer Reviews

Rated 3.6 out of 5 by 5 reviewers.
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by MultiFuel Furnace does the minimum 2nd year with the furnace. Hopper is very poorly designed and will not feed all 240# pellets. No Igniter, no external thermostat support. Agree with other reviewer, burns too much fuel. Noisy! lots of heat radiated from unit sides. needs bigger chimney than 3".for efficiency. No point having a 240# hopper if you cannot burn all 240# because all the fuel wont feed without user intervention. How can you produce a furnace without an igniter or remote thermostat? This thing costs an arm and a leg, though it burns fairly efficiently, all the efficiency is lost because of the reasons mentioned above. This product is likely best used in a shop or large garage for these reasons, and not someones home. It would be too loud for that, so it may be better to build this unit to be installed outdoors and designed to have air plumbed into the structure. This unit lacks in many areas and the poor description fails to warn the user of these pitfalls. October 27, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Pellet Stove I was impressed with the quality of the pellet stove and the ease of installation and operation. The stove is built strong and user friendly. There was a discrepancy between the advertisement and the actual packing weight. The add said it weighed over 300 lbs. but the actual weight was over 500 hundred lbs. If I would have known the actual weight I would have had more friends to help get it in the basement. February 26, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by US Stoves 8500 Multi Fuel Pellet Furnance This unit did not produce heat. I spent hours on the phone with US Stoves company which was no help. It states the unit will heat 3,000sq ft. We adjusted the feed rate to 11lbs of pellets an hour and the output heat on the supply duct was 98 degrees or less on the Pr-5 setting and the temp in my house did not go above 65 degrees with an outside temp of 36 degrees. We also adjusted the air flow and no improvement. We spent all day for a week straight on the phone with US Stoves Company. They had us try several different adjustments and no improvement. They refused to send someone out to check it. I had no choice but to return it to Home Depot. I lost $1,651.00 on the installation. Since my bank would not let me use my debt card for such a large payment for the unit, I was advised to purchase Home Depot gift cards to purchase this unit. Now I can't get cash back. I was told they can only credit the money back to a gift card. So I took a lost for the installation $1,651.00 and I am stuck with $2000.00 in Home Depot gift card. The balance the owe me will be credit back to my debit card. I am very disappointed with this purchase. January 27, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Amazing quality We love ours! Heats our 2500 sqft 3 story 1960 'a farm house perfectly . It's well built and dependable ! Large hopper , easy filling and will last easy through the day on the lowest setting . it keeps the house at 68. When it got so cold last year we turned it up to 3 and it has 5 settings! Kept us warm and only cost a ton of pellets every 1 month and a half ! October 6, 2014
