Customer Questions & Answers

Can i use this to the roof of my RV?

And will the tarp stays driving in the Freeway?
Asked by: Lorie
Hi Lorie. This tarp may be used effectively while the vehicle is parked, but not while the vehicle is in motion. The wind on the freeway, even at 55 mph is hurricane force and would rip the tarp off your vehicle even if it is strapped down. Time to get the roof leak fixed if you are planning on driving the freeway in the rain. I have a similar problem with my 2009 Chev. Colorado truck leaking in the rain. Not so much when driving, but when it is parked. Please let us know if we can be of further assistance. Rick_HD_OC

I am a senior female, can I put it on a small shed without help?

I am a senior female, can I put it on a small shed without help?
Asked by: Charlie
I also am a senior female and had no problems using this, but it would depend on the size of the shed and if you needed a ladder. Its heavy, but once opened, is easily manageable. I used mine as a cover on my lawn to catch construction materials during a home renovation. I was still able to keep it for another use, since it held up without getting any holes in it.

I live in a single family home what size would l need

Asked by: lannie
Roofing Tarp is generally used to cover a water leak from roof until a permanent fix can be arranged/applied. Its always handy to have some readily available in case of emergency. So, how much you need is all depends on what you are trying to cover from weather elememts.

20 ft. x 25 ft. Blue Roofing Tarp is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 32.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works well and the self adhesive makes it great as a one man job My workshop behind my house has been damaged 3 times due to tornados and straight winds. I have repaired it twice. After the third time I used this tarp. It is very good with the way the adhesive is designed to hold the tarp on the roof. I tested it after I installed and no leaks. Checked the security of the tarp after soaking it down. Still secure and no areas breached for water to get underneath it. The material weave is designed that no moisture penetrates the product. May wait till Fall to replace the roof. This is just as secure and leakproof as having one in place already. Great product

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I'm very pleased with this tarp I just finished roofing a 20' x 25' car port. It took me two days to complete and this tarp was an over night life saver. I completed the tear-off and shingled about a third of the roof when it became too dark to continue. There was no rain predicted for that evening but I decided to cover the roof just in case. The tarp went on easily and the adhesive edges stuck well to the plywood sheathing but I added a few staples for my peace of mind. It rained. The next morning, upon inspection, the tarp hadn't moved and everything remained dry. An excellent product that I highly recommend.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Self-adhesive water/wind barrier This roof tarp is a must have for your emergency kit which I learned the hard way when hurricane Sandy showed up. For what it costs, it’s a no brainer to have it part of your prompt response in a critical situation. This tarp is a self-adhesive water/wind barrier that requires no tools or additional man power to spread and secure. Regular tarp will save you some but then you got to get up there with bunch of bricks to hold it, now imagine doing that when it’s pouring with heavy winds. Buy yourself some peace of mind and keep one in your response kit. Note that this tarp is intended for a single use ONLY. Once adhered, you cannot re-position it. You will remove it by removing the tiles it is adhered to. So, it is a onetime cost for one time use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Many Uses I got this tarp when we were building an enclosed walkway to the basement. The area was approx. 5 x 25 and only had a roof over it. We used this tarp to keep the area clean around the spot we were working. There was a lot of scrap lumber, sheetrock, and other building debris and I did not want it thrown all over the yard or heaped into a pile. Everything was thrown onto this tarp for daily removal and it stood up to the job. We dragged it over small stones, walked on it, and it didn't even rip. I hosed it off after the job was done and put it in the garage for the next use I can find for it. It would work great in case I had any leaks in my roof too. Its HUGE.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Nicely I was doing a small front door addition and knew I wouldn't get the roof part done in one day, so I used this tarp to protect the interior from predicted rain that night. I was skeptical that the adhesive on the edges of this tarp would work. Usually I have to lay 2x4's on top of a tarp at the edges and nail them into the roof; and even then it usually leaks a little. I then silicone the nail holes after removing the tarp. With the UtarpIt, I just used the adhesive already on the edges. It's a thick, gummy substance and stuck to the asphalt shingles pretty well. I also laid some 2x4's on the edges just to be safe, but didn't nail them (the roof slope is very shallow). OK, it leaked a little but no more than normal, so I am vey happy. Can't use the adhesive again, but that's stated on the package, so no harm, no foul.
