I used this as a cover to protect an outside freezer in South Texas. Sun, Wind and Rain plus a few heavy freezes and it lasted and was effective for two years.

Can it be placed on Wet Roof?

If the roof is still wet or raining will the adhesive stick?
Asked by: Justin
This tarp has some "serious" adhesive, and it did stick when I applied it to a wet roof. I re-applied pressure after the roof was dry just to be safe, and it worked great..;~)

Hi Ffuentes, This is shipped with standard shipping. Under the "Ship to Store" selection you will see the "Available for Pick Up: __" section. This will give the estimated time the tarp should arrive to the store. We appreciate your business and look forward to serving you in the future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product, marketing is weak Got a hole in your roof? UTARPit! This is a high quality tarp with STICKY EDGES. You can temporarily cover a damaged roof, QUICKLY, without a hammer, and without nail-damage to complicate later repair. This would normally be used immediately after a storm. It happened that I had a hole in a shed roof, not an emergency, so a good chance to try UTARPit before a real emergency. The roof was corrugated tarboard, a very tough job. The whole roof has to be replaced, but it would be nice if I can get-by until next summer. The valleys were full of dirt so I wire-brushed them sorta-clean. Then I rough-spread the UTARPit to find the center of the top. I tore-off the center of the protective paper over the sticky-edge, and worked it into the top center corrugations. It stuck real good, and easy. I worked to the left side, then peeled the side-strip a foot at a time and worked that down the side. Shift the ladder to the right and stuck the top and other side, then across the bottom. Total time, 22 minutes, including taking pictures. No tools or nails to haul-up, spill, or make more damage in the roof (not that I care here, but often a storm damages a good roof and you prefer not to damage it further with temporary cover-ups). The attached pictures show the hole, part-done, and all done. BUT-- This is an "emergency" product. It should be clearly packaged and readily available after a storm. Instead the packaging artwork is a mess of fonts and irrelevant words on pointless backgrounds. It doesn't SHOUT what it is good for. "Got a hole in your roof? UTARPit!" And at this time Home Depot only offers it Special Order, which means you must schedule your hurricane at least 2 weeks in advance. While I suppose some wise folks will plan-ahead and be prepared, it really should be IN the H-D, and stacked near the door ASAP after any major storm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product, easy to install I bought the Utarp to cover a leak on my roof. It was so easy! No need to carry heavy blocks to the roof to hold. It sticks to the roof and you are done. No more leak. Why didn't someone think of this before?

Rated 3 out of 5 by from only for roofing i didn't focus on the title of the product - which is "roofing" tarp and thought it was a tarp. however it is a very thin small piece of tarp. what makes it unique and probably only good to cover over a roofing job while it is unfinished is the extra strong adhesive running along the edges. once you peel off the tape however make sure that you are firmly gripping the tarp. if not the pieces of the tarp may touch where the adhesive is and you cannot pry it apart! also i would assume that this is a one time use only in terms of the adhesive. in all other respects it is a regular tarp with holes for rope so i guess you can reuse it without the adhesive.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Normal Tarp, Heavy Double Sided Strip of Glue on Outside Edges, Slightly disappointed, as I do intend on using this alone. Their flyer says this is for is roof coverage after Hurricane damage. We had that type of damage after Katrina. If it's windy it would work better to have more strips of tape down the middle to make it easier to lay out flat in the wind. I would not want one end to whip up back into my face. I'm keeping this for an emergency, whether it is with my auto or house, It can be used on shingles, tile or concrete and is not flame retardant. This is a tarp, feels like other tarps I have, plastic and lightweight. This small size is usable for a single person with only glue/tape on 4 edges. I've hiked to isolated UN Refugee Camps and would include this in my backpack for emergency situations, more strips of glue is better. Slightly pricey.
