Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice garden house I can't give a long-term review of its durability since I assembled the garden house only 1 month ago but it seems to be of good quality. Much more stable and well-thought-out than others I have purchased. Assembly of the roof supports requires two people with two ladders but the rest can be handled by one person. Since the house was installed on a raised deck and I didn't want to attach it permanently, I followed the recommendation of another reviewer and poured gravel into the posts for stability and it works well for that purpose. (About 20-25 lbs per post.) Be sure to use packing or duct tape at the bottom of the post first so the gravel doesn't come out of the bottom when the post is shifted during assembly. There are grommeted openings on the roof fabric (near the edges) to prevent pooling of water during moderate rains. The overlapped vented area of the roof does allow some water to come through but not significantly. Assembly directions were easy to follow. I also purchased the netting for the garden house. It was about 1-1/2" too long so I attached it from the upper set of bars, rather than the lower ones as indicated on the instructions. March 31, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Easy Assembly and a Great Look Very Easy assembly with this gazebo, unlike some less expensive ones I have had over the years. Nice quality, almost every hole lined up easily. It is quite sturdy and I think will last for years. The caps that cover the base of the poles were quite large, so I didn't use them. June 20, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great First one lasted 6 years, and consumed a total of 3 canopies. I'd still have it if I had removed #3 before that ferocious wind storm passed through (3" concrete filled plastic pipe inserts inside the posts keep it in place). This one is identical to the first which is also great! Looks nice, well designed, well built, priced right. User discretion is the key-top off even in a mild west coast winter... April 8, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great buy for the price Hampton Bay got it right with this canopy. The tarp cover is especially noteworthy because of course this is the most important for durability. The frame is light but strong. I slightly improved on the frame increasing the strength. Secure the structure to the ground or a strong wind will blow it down. April 28, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Looking Cover I use an enclosure of this type inside my screened in pool area. Makes a great sitting area with shade in the corner. This one has a lot more style than my previous one. I don't expect to get more than a couple of years service out of it but for the price it is well worth it. I have had several strong wind storms already and it has held up well. It is not completely water proof but the wind blows water in anyway so it doesn't really matter. The cover at the base of the four poles allow for some type of fastening to concrete to be cCapt Bobovered, April 8, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good overall value. Last canopy destroyed in the wind. Added a bag of gravel to each of the hollow columns. Its not going anywhere now. Nice simple canopy overall. April 8, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very good value First, I'm handicapped and worried that I wouldn't be able to put up the gazebo. My application required that I cut the four corner posts to specific lengths with a hacksaw to fit a strange shaped deck. Once the corner posts were hard mounted (two in brink, two in wood) everything else was a piece of cake. But wouldn't you know it two days later (Colorado) a surprise 10 inch snow fall threatened my canopy. I loosened the four corners of the canopy and moved everything to the center top stringer and tied that off the now folded canopy with bungee cords. The storm came in as forecast but my gazebo survived and took only 10 minutes to remount the canopy. I'm very happy with this purchase. It was like adding another room the house. May 13, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by So far so good... We bought this two weeks ago to shade our large backyard patio. My husband put it up by himself. It took about 3 hours although he did what one of the other reviewers suggested and filled each hollow post with a bag of gravel. This made it really sturdy especially when compared to similar products we looked at with the thinner steel frames. It really cools down our patio which we need since it gets so hot in NC. I do wonder what will happen if we get a storm with strong winds. Its not going to be quick or easy to take it down so I guess we will just let it weather any storms that come and hope for the best. I think it was worth it overall and we have really been enjoying it but its too early to tell how its going to hold up over time. May 17, 2014
