I just installed the Trex rainaway system on my raised deck and used the panels as a cieling on my lower deck. I installed them in a herringbone pattern and it looks great. The installation is a little tricky at first, but it was not a problem. The panels may bow a bit, but they are thin enough to easily move into position. You just need to start at one end and work down the panel of the heavily bowed pieces. But, most were a breeze to install. I had very little waste, but needed a lot of shorter pieces for the herringbone pattern. This is a good product for the cost concious DYI'er with good to above average skill.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by NJNailbender Terrible stuff!
Extremely flimsy, more like a thick veneer than a plank, makes it very difficult to fit planks together and tongues and grooves blow out with even the slightest pressure. Agree with previous reviewers, better to slice off half the groove and install like shiplap. Clearly there is no quality control wherever this stuff is milled and packaged, is full of holes, broken tongues/grooves, under-width planks, out of six per package usually two were rejects. Warps as soon as you unwrap it, watched one piece go banana-shaped in just seconds. Finally gave up, returning unused, had to start job over. Am kind of surprised that HD would think this stuff is worth carrying.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Robert Bad Product
Most of the panels are unusable due to holes along the tongue, groove or middle of the panel. Panels cup as soon as they are removed from package. Pieces are almost impossible to join. Tried installing for a customer but gave up after 1/2 hour of trying to join planks together. tongues or grooves would crack. wound up using another product. Had to absorb the cost of the panels.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by moore2508 plank installation
The cedar planks were very easy to install. They kept their shape and V notch was not broken; as the pine planks I have also installed.
The cedar planks looked and smelled great. I used the Behr clear coating for cedar. A fun project to do for the weekend. Enjoy!

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Robb Time Consuming Installation
More than half of the product in each 6-pack was damaged or unusable. Most common was the grove side damaged or broken, warped and very hard to line up the tongue into the grove. If your going to install this on a wall longer than 10ft, plan to take a lot of pieces back to the store or plan to cut off the back side of the grove and install like shiplap. Product is nice looking once installed but the installation process is incredibly time consuming.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Kicknamesrdumb Decent product
After preassembling these for it, I found the job to be much easier. Still there is 25% waste on the job that I used these for. Out of 12 packages I only had 3 that I used every board.
