Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by sarnic123 Great for fencing!
I bought these on sale at HD to use as the rails for my horse pasture. They were cheaper than 2x4s and look awesome. Plus, they're treated so I can't see why they won't last for a long time. I used 4x4s as the posts for the fence. Get tons of compliments on it.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by TileToolJim Just select the straight ones and go
Let me first say the value makes a big difference. When a THD competitor put them on sale, I went to HD.COM to see my local store's price and was happy to see my store had a special buy pricing that matched the competitor and saved me 50%. THD came through for me as usual and can for you if you use HD.COM to shop wisely, do your research and jump on value offers.
Some reviews speak to the timbers not being straight. While it is the nature of these timbers to warp, I find if you select straight ones in the store they are more likely to stay straighter in you landscaping. But when you pay the discounted price that I paid, I don't mind if some warp. When I do get one with excessive warping, I just cut the 8' timber in half and the warp is less noticeable. I also lay mine on the ground next to my grass which is higher, which I think is better than burying a little which may accelerate the rotting some reviews mention. These timbers last for years for me in Southeast Florida with twice weekly sprinklers and the summer rains of Florida.
The best part is how nice they make the yard look. They really make the landscaping pop out.

Bought and used these to make a small animal pen. Rotten within 3 years. Do your research on the PCF factor for treated lumber. Minimum for ground contact is 0.25 these are 0.0625 !

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by nick timbers are the best lawn edging
The most stupid mistake homeowners make when it comes to landscaping is that they don't plan properly. The correct way to keep the the timbers from rotting is to first level the trench and then put down a good quality landscape fabric to help prevent the timbers from having contact with the soil and rotting away in addition add about an inch of screened bedding sand for drainage. You cannot go wrong with these timbers my entire lawn back and front yard is edged with this product and the nice thing is when I mow my lawn I can go right along the edge and not have to pull out the string trimmer.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by kaylward Great for intended purpose
Used for building a 19' x 2' x 30" planted box/downspout french drain. Bought full pallet, and used most of them. Overall quality is very good, with only a small percentage of boards out of acceptable quality/size conformity. As expected, I did get a few bad boards, but simply salvaged the usable portions for use as inner bracing etc. Even though these are not intended for framing purposes, most were of high enough quality for use beyond the intended purpose. Very strong wood held screws extremely well. I opted to used 5" Ledger Lock screws, as they have longer thread area for greater holding strength. When using high power drills, restraint must be used to prevent screws from pulling through timbers, as these are normally very green, and wet from soaking with rot treatment.
Timbers cut cleanly with 10" miter saw. Drilled cleanly with 3/4" Forstner bit for countersink holes, and required no pilot holes to install screws. Only had one board from an entire pallet that split from screw insertion.
The design of these timbers, having two rounded sides and two flat sides, makes installation easy even for novice installers. End effect is a professional looking installation, with great asthetics, great strength, stable and reliable dimensional integrity, easy workability and extremely low waste.
Would highly recommend this product for anyone with even the most basic woodworking skills. If you can lay out the first course square, level and true . . . you will end up with a nice end result.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Pris Great for raised garden beds
The landscape timbers were great for making our raised garden beds. The timbers were straight and not weathered. These were ordered on-line to pick-up in store and the timbers, with the rest of the order, were ready when we got to the store about a 1/2 hour later.
