I wanted a new planter/fountain that fit to my townhome. I like to see things when I buy them and was happy to see my local HD had this one in stock. Well, it was not displayed and I walked right passed it because the box was so small. After receiving assistance from the nicest lady, we opened the box and I was surprised at the size, just right! It looks great! The planter is small but the over all product looks like it cost way more.

I have been looking for a fountain that was just right in size rather than purchasing the usual dish type with tiers. This fountain looks just like a flower pot overflowing with water. It was easy to assemble and I nestled it off to the side in my front garden among the roses and the rhododendron. It is just right in width and height and serves the second purpose of a flower pot which matches a cast iron pot of the same shape and color that is paced on a wall column. The sound of the water is soothing and it stands out as people do not expect it to be a fountain.

This fountain is very nice to look at. It's lightweight and easy to assemble. The multiple water outlets makes for a nice water fall sound. That's where the positive comments end. The pump is completely external which means you have this cord hanging over the side of the fountain which takes away from the ascetics of the overall fountain. They could have done an internal pump install which would mean the power cord would come out of the bottom and you really would not see it.
The planter portion on the top does not drain so you really can not place a live plant in it unless you intend for the plant to drown in water due to the soil will be waterlogged.
The water basin for the actually fountain is not wide enough. Therefore during the course of operation the water tends to splash out of the fountain which leads to the fountain losing water after a short period of time . It does say in the instructions that you really should not leave the fountain running unattended for extended periods of time. I would give it only a day of it running unattended. I have to refill mine everyday. There was not a built in reservoir to keep from having to refill the main fountain daily. Over all it's a nice fountain to look but the overall design is poor. Do not go on vacation or out of town without turning off this device.
