The satin black angled shoes are specifically designed to ease the installation of iron balusters. They provide a smooth & elegant transition from the bottom of the handrail or the top of the knee wall to the satin black baluster collection. They also ensure the installation holes, drilled to insert the balusters are completely covered up. The angled shoes have the same high quality satin black finish as their baluster counterparts

  • Flat shoes provide a clean, crisp transition from the metal baluster to the wood components of the stair system
  • Powder-coated, high quality satin black finish is ready for installation
  • Use angled shoes where the baluster meets the angle/rake of the handrail or on knee-walls
  • Shoes come with factory-set 45-degree angle. Use a belt sander or grinder to adjust angle to fit your staircase

Rated 2 out of 5 by 4 reviewers.
Rated 1 out of 5 by Poor Design I was required to glue the part on the the entire banister in place because the set screws forces the angled part away from the rail and creates a 1/4" gap. Just a poor and cheap design on the manufacturers behalf. They should have put the screw on an angle like the parts Home Depot carried 1 year ago. February 15, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Incredibly poor quality The quality control on these is basically non-existent. After I glued the balusters in, I was shocked to find that the failure rate on these is about one in five. The allen wrench heads strip very easily, so they cannot be tightened into place. Many tightened but then stripped, so I'll never be able to move them again for repairs. I ended up having to either glue them down or rip out balusters and replace them February 20, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Easy to install We decided to redo our stair rail...easy to install, price was better online than in store....we were going to use them only on the bottom, however decide to place them on the top also...2nd order came fast...we finished the whole project quicky...i love the transformation of the stair case April 30, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Poor Design Placement of the set screw causes the shoe to pull away from the banister leaving an ugly gap. Recommend picking up a tube of black adhesive caulk and gluing in place, skip the set screws all together. May 5, 2014
