We bought the kit and painted it red, with Behr exterior paint. We thought it was very easily assembled, simple as bolts with washers and wing nuts for every connection. The table is very sturdy, and although a little low, this was a great project to work on together. I had a blast painting it, and then we assembled it. There were a few places where he ended up drilling another hole, but that was mainly where the two wood screws go in to hold the table top secure to the angled supports. We found no warping or mold or anything of the like which I saw from a couple of reviews we had read (either on here or for the Lowes equivalent) we ended up drilling a large hole in the middle for an umbrella, since there is not one already there. As for any questions on the size of its box for transport home: the length was exactly 72 inches, it's pretty much just wrapped with a piece of cardboard and a few plastic shipping straps. We managed to fit it in the back of a 2013 Nissan Xterra after dropping the seats down and pushing the front passenger seat as far forward as possible and sitting the table up on its long end. This was a great buy, Thanks, Home Depot!

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Cookie Great Table for $98.00!
If you are looking for an inexpensive wooden picnic table this is a great choice. Since the wood is pine I stained it with a light red outdoor stain to protect it from the elements of Oregon's damp weather. The staining took almost all day but is was well worth it. Once it dried the assembly was quick and easy. I did need a little help from my husband to help lift some of the heavier pieces. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because it did have some serious defects in a couple of pieces of the wood. We were able to sand them down smooth enough not to splinter and take a nice stain. Over all this is a nice table for $98.00!

Rated 5 out of 5Â by teddy for theS, to me it's GREAT
After reading some of the negative reviews, thought the worst before purchasing this table. BUT, no the wood is not #1 prime doug fir, but for an outside picnic table that's exposed to the weather it's works great! l could have sanded some of the rough spots and raw edges, bit I didn't. Glad for the environment to see the use of lesser grade wood in such a product. I applied 2 coats of exterior redwood stain and the appearance improved and the imperfections were lessened. Yes, it is a lower sitting table, but again it's a picnic table. I would not expect this unit to be as comfy as my armed dining room chair . "Instructions" were simple but provided the necessary guidelines for the assembly and parts fit together with no problems. For the price, I am completely satisfied with a very sturdy and usable picnic table!

Rated 5 out of 5Â by beattyplb great table
After reading some reviews i was worried about purchasing these tables. One was set up at my home depot and it looked good. So i bought two for my house. With out instructions anyone could figure out how to BOLT these tables together. Its really a no brainer. now as far as being sturdy,IT IS.and can see these lasting for many years to come. Unlike the plastic tables being sold. My advise is to buy this and let the kids as well as adults climb all over it and enjoy. It takes all of a half a hour to assemble even for a novice.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Howard Praise of this simple sturdy table.....a great value!
This picnic bench is a great value for 100 bucks. I previously had a plastic / Aluminum table which did not stand the test of time (nor the kids of my tenants jumping up and down on it). No child will be breaking the 2 x 4's on this table! I've bought 3 of these and plan to buy 2 more in the near future....go price it on the Internet....you won't find a better deal on a simple, sturdy picnic table.
