I moved into a new home with chain link fencing on a rather busy street so I needed privacy asap. Didn't want to spend a ton of money on new fencing so the privacy slats were a great solution. Installation was easy but took a long time (I had 80 ft to cover). Well worth it.

I have a long chain link fence that separates my property from a drainage sump. I bought the fence slats hoping that they would help block off the view of the sump. They work great. But even more important, they are very easy to install. Each box comes with a bottom rail that you slide through the lower links parallel to the ground. You then slide the slats through the chain links and they snap into place making everything even and uniform.

Easy to install. Still lets in light from the spaces between the slats.
Wish the didn't cost so much.

These look great and are easy to install. If you have more than on box to do your thighs will be sore from squatting!! But hey it's worth it. Trim the grass along the fence first before you install to get the bottom piece's in evenly and don't do any cutting (if needed) until the job is finished. My only complaint is they a little on the expensive side.

If we'd installed this for privacy or noise I'm not sure it would have been quite enough in close proximity to neighbors, but we bought these to help the chain link fence create shade for critters while outside and it worked perfectly. Our order showed up amazingly fast, don't be put off by the 2-3 week quoted time.
There's no getting around the labor-intense process of weaving the slats through the fence. We did ours diagonally. The channel lockers were completely unnecessary because of the tight weave so we left them out. There were still a good number of slats remaining in the first box after 2 72x72" sections so will likely have enough remaining to do another part of the fence.
Another good surprise was that even when bent at a 90 degree angle the slats didn't crack or discolor where it was bent. In fact, not a single piece split or cracked or discolored with handling and having to pull with some force (speaking for the black slats, not sure about other colors). Based on that we hope these will hold up for a good while.
Have a good set of pliers - straight pliers- to help guide the slats through because you will probably not be able to pull them by hand after 10-12 or so links. Also, tin snips, or aviation snips- the $10 kind- are SO much better than scissors to cut these with. Scissors *will* do the job but your hands will be very sore and tired. Latex gloves (sold in the paint area usually) allowed for a good grip without the bulk of other gloves getting caught in the links. Let the tools do the work!

The slats were very easy to install straight down through my chain link fence. The slats click into the support channel at the bottom of the fence. The only negative feedback I have is the price. They are a bit high in price for only covering 10 linear feet.
