I have been searching for months for a rug for the living room of my new house. I have actually purchased and returned five rugs. What a hassle! I had actually given up and become very discouraged. On a trip to home depot for weather stripping, I went past the area rugs (out of habit by now) and there it was. I knew immediately this was the one. It really is beautiful and so soft. My granddaughter loves to play on it, no itches, no hives. It is actually prettier than it looks on line, the background color is warmer, butter pecan (the name suits it) not off white. There is just the right amount of blue as to not overwhelm. I plan to play it up with blue pillows and accessories. LOVE this rug. I'm thinking about putting another one in my entry.

The traditional style and the subtle blue color in the rug coordinate perfectly with my sofa. The brown and tan shades of the rug look great with the oak hardwood floor. Overall, it was an excellent choice.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by mountainmama Good feel to this rug.
On close examination, this rug won't compete with a higher quality wool rug if you are looking for a statement piece. However, for the price, it is an excellent value. I needed something in these colors (which were surprisingly difficult to find) to stage my home for sale, but won't be using these colors in my next home so didn't want to invest in a more expensive rug. I purchased the 5x8 and the sizing is true. I placed it over carpet and it did ripple, which required putting a pad underneath. I first tried "ruggies" and they did not work at all. Luckily, I found a pad online for only $20. It is the felt type and works very well; the rug now stays flat. With the pad, the rug also feels quite thick under bare feet - the feel of a much better quality rug. The colors are subtle. I would call the blue a medium/porcelain blue. The color that appears darkest in the border looked like navy to me on the website and is a color that I was seeking. Instead, it is dark brown, and appears throughout the rug and also borders the designs, but it doesn't dominate the color palette. I preferred navy to coordinate with my furnishings, but the brown looks surprisingly good. The other brown tones in the rug lean toward camel in places and somewhat amber in others. There is also a small amount of a green, more on the sage-y (but clear, not muddy) side. Overall, the rug is very neutral and has a somewhat aged look. To the casual observer, this gives the rug a more expensive look, but with closer examination, reveals that the shading variations are really just dyed fiber and not individually woven or tufted strands. At first this bothered me, but for 1/5th to 1/10th the cost of a hand knotted, natural fiber rug, I find it perfectly acceptable for my situation. All of the designs in the rug are well placed as to centering and balance. Another advantage of this rug over a wool rug is that there is no need for continuous vacuuming for loose pile. This rug did not have that "funny" smell, as some synthetic fiber rugs initially have. Overall, I am very happy with this purchase.

I'll bet I've looked at over 1,000 rugs on the Internet, searching for just the right one. Well, I finally found it in the Charisma Butter Pecan rug. It is much more beautiful and better quality than I expected from the photo and the price. I'm sure you'll be as happy as I am if you purchase this gorgeous rug.
