bought 6 boxes and installed in less than 2 days. had to learn how to fit together properly but then it went pretty fast. my wife and i both like the look and feel. it made a big difference in look over the old floor & everybody cant believe its laminate flooring. the seams are almost undetectable with out getting down on the floor to look closely. i would never try regular tile with grout when there is something like this on the market without any mess.
we used it in our bathroom that had not been remodeled in 35 years and cant even picture what the old floor used to look like.
the whole make over was done by my wife and myself and the results are just stunning.
you should see the before and after pictures. the flooring should also be a breeze to clean and maintain.
thank you, bill & nancy

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by MemphisDIYr GET EXTRA!
Love the flooring and it's super easy to install. This pattern/color - cooper slate - does NOT show dirt...it's wonderful. BUT - like someone else reviewed - the plank designs are not evenly distributed among boxes....we have many of 2 of the patterns and few of the other two. So we have repeats, but since it's in a kitchen with cabinets to go around and under appliances - it's worked out. But because of the tile pattern and having to cut around cabinets - we underestimated the needs. We should have bought 20-25% extra - not 10% as recommended. So - I'll be ordering a few more boxes to finish up. Then we have the maple version to install everywhere else in our downstairs. Really like the floor though!

My husband just put this floor in our foyer, entry hall, kitchen and bathroom. We just LOVE the look and feel of our new floor. We like it so much, I think we are going to do our master bath with it as well. You can't see the seams AT ALL and it looks like real slate tile but feels so much better on your feet! It doesn't show the dirt and is super easy to clean!
It was a little difficult to install, as you are dealing with 12" wide panels instead of the smaller width wood laminates. If you are going into closets or have a lot of doorways, it is difficult to lock the pieces into place around door frames. We ended up removing all of the door frames in our hallway (three doors), which added to the work and time to finish. If you're doing a large room, with very few doorways, etc., it will be very easy to install.
I believe Dupont has corrected the pattern issue referred to in earlier reviews here. Each plank is one of four different patterns. We ordered 14 boxes and the patterns were pretty evenly distributed in our boxes.
If you want an easy to install, easy to clean and great looking floor, I believe you will like this product. We do!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by scmom Excellent quality and look!
We installed this floor in our bathroom 2 years ago and after constant tracking of water from the shower and bath, these floors have held up wonderfully well. No bucking or cracking whatsoever. I highly recommend this flood for the mere durability, not to mention a great looking floor. It goes together seamless and has the appearance of real slate.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by phoebeface Good product, but use in the right place
All of the reviews are accurate about the quality, but I want to remind everyone that this must be used in the proper place. As the directions state, it should not be used below grade (i.e. basements) or in wet rooms such as baths or laundry rooms.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Dave Looks nice, but not worth the hassle.
I bought this laminate because it looked good at the store and I really liked the embossed texture and "grain" of the tiles. However, Dupont's design and quality control leaves a lot to be desired. It is important to have a variety of different planks (each plank is four tiles) so that you can avoid having the same pattern repeat close by. Out of ten boxes (50 planks) I got 23 of one plank, 17 of another, 9 of another, and 1 of another! Needless to say, I was very upset at this. As you aren't supposed to open the boxes until the day of installation and the builders were coming the next day to finish installing the trim and painting, I had to make do with what I had. It's pretty easy to notice that the tiles repeat if you look at the floor for more than a few seconds. Also, the joint design makes it much harder to assemble than Pergo, when you get near a wall or doorway Pergo can be joined by tapping the planks straight together, Dupont's design requires that you lift an edge which is sometimes impossible. In the end, the room looks OK but I would not buy this product again or recommend it to a friend. My experience with Pergo was much better.
