Rated 5 out of 5 by great window..... great window...custom made.. arrived quickly, no problems at ALL March 27, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Fell apart due to poor construction I was really excited to receive this already assembled, until I received it. I had already built 7 glass block windows for my basement, so I have a good idea of strong, quality construction. This window fell apart at the silicone seams when I opened the box. Yes, it was shipped; however, it had no spacers between the blocks only a slight amount of silicon. I accidentally dropped a well constructed glass block window from a basement window to the basement CONCRETE floor, it didn't break. July 17, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by Great window and free shipping Replaced all 4 of our basement windows with these (2 vented and 2 non-vented). All arrived within 3 or 4 days of ordering them online and in perfect condition. The packaging was excellent, all were marked fragile and glass. UPS did a great job of getting them here undamaged. The price was great and the difference between buying the blocks and assembling them myself or buying these preassembled was not worth the time or hassle to me. There was some variation in the joint thickness as mentioned in other reviews but it was minor and the windows fit well. They seem well constructed and were made in the USA. We have a cement block basement and the existing windows has a 4 inch mortar "sill" . When removing the old windows I also removed the old "sill" and was able to fit 16 inch windows in the 2 block tall opening. The larger windows allow much more light in now. The new windows seem much more secure and weather tight than the 30 year old windows they replaced. All in all we are very happy with the purchase, how the shipping went, and with the value for the money. It was also one of the best "bang for the buck" home repair/improvement we've done in a while. Rated 2 out of 5 by Looks Great, Questionable Construction One window was damaged during shipment... the center horizontal joint gave way and the top two rows of glass blocks shifted over an inch toward the face of the window. While installing another window, the contractor picked it up such that the face of the window was parallel to the floor; the center vertical joint gave way and the window buckled, breaking in half. The two halves also broke when they hit the floor, and two corners broke off, leaving shards of glass on the floor. These glass blocks appear to be joined together with a minimal amount of silicone (and not with any high strength adhesive), which obviously lead to the failures described above. On the third of four windows, even the silicone was poorly applied... unevenly and with gobs of silicone in some places. They look great once they're in, but they must be handled with care and should always be kept vertical during installation. One would expect that the glass blocks would be joined together with a high strength adhesive; the use of only silicone causes me to wonder if they could be pushed in with only the use of one's legs.
