HOME-FLEX Corrugated Stainless Steel Tubing or CSST is great for installation of gas appliances. CSST easily snakes into attic and basements areas, around corners and bends, and through walls. Much easier to work than steel pipe, uses fewer fittings, and weighs a lot less too. Certification through manufacturer is recommended before installing CSST.

  • Saves time - 60 percent time savings vs. steel pipe fitting
  • Cleaner and easier to handle than black steel pipe
  • Bends around corners eliminating need for additional joints and fittings
  • Use coordinating HOME-FLEX CSST fittings
  • Great for seismic areas - ridged pipe often leaks after even small tremors
  • CSA and IAPMO Certified
  • Installers should be certified to install HOME-FLEX CSST, to become certified visit homeflex.com

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 3.0 out of 5 by 6 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Piped entire home with Alpha-Flex I hard piped from my propane tank down the side of my garage wall then, to my grill with black pipe (required outside) and then, inside the attic with 1/2" Alpha-Flex over to my water heater, and heating units. I also installed a manifold in the attic for any future needs. Doing this by myself, it took only two days to complete and was very easy to work with. July 29, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great price, easy to work with I ran a line out to my grill using this pipe. It's very easy to work with and bends easily. Attaching the ends was also DIY friendly so no need to hire a plumber to run your gas lines. Just make sure everything is tight and check for leaks. July 9, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not Compliant! I bought, as a certified installer, your Home Flex brand of CSST gas pipe for a new home install. I invested $800+ dollars and 2 days of my time to install everything in the new home. Loudoun County Plumbing and Gas inspector says it isn't compliant with code and is making me tear it all out and put in a different brand of CSST that has the ANSI# listed on the pipe. Now I have to buy all new pipe from another supplier. So now my time, money and work is more than doubled. I have $800+ of Home Depot product that will be trashed for non-compliance. If your going to use this pipe, buy a section and take it directly to the inspector FIRST! Do not install this product first. March 5, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Disaster Used this for gas line in my new construction house. Inspector said our county won't accept them because they don't have the rating printed right on the pipe, even though it's in the instruction manual. I had to tear it all out and replace it with similar stuff from Lowes. Home Depot was very good about working with me and I made them aware of this problem. Just check with the county before you use this!!! April 15, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great quality, easy compared to iron I'm a fan of flex stainless, but mind your p's and q's with this stuff. Remember to bond it (electrically) when you install. If you don't know what this means, don't use it. Seriously. Also, consult standard tables of gas pipe diameter and carrying capacity. This 1/2" line doesn't have a huge capacity to run three different appliances at once. Used properly, this stuff is magic, and can save you hours of install headache. December 6, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 csst not compliant with code according to baltimore inspector junk connectors had more leaks to just two appliances on one job then i had in two years (approx. 50 houses) using ward flex junk junk junk March 14, 2014
