I installed this flooring myself and did 3/4 of our basement in this style and brand. I am a 40 something female and finished laying the floor in just 2 days!! It is the best type of flooring to install. My whole first floor is done in the same kind, just a different style. I also installed a different style recently in my sons home! Love this flooring as it is very durable. Take the time to read all install instructions and invest in the proper tools neededs and you too can have a great new floor!!

Put this down almost 2 years ago in the kitchen and it looks great. stands up to what my 3 great danes can dish out and keeps going. it even lived through the faucet explosion....gallons of HOT water shooting up to ceiling..ruined the ceiling but not the floor.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by DRTRCR Beautifull... but no easy to install...
This is absolutely gorgeous! Way beyond my expectations! One surprise (having not seeing and holding it in person before buying it) was that it does not have bevelled edges between the slats as it appears in the pictures... which is a good thing. I own a ranch house in the country and track in lots of dirt. I was concerned that dirt may collect in the bevelled groves, but the 3D design only 'appears' to have groves in it, and that is awesome!
However... this is not easy to put in!!! I have a lot of home building experience, so I tried to put this in my own home myself, alone. The snap-locks are difficult to work with. Each side has a different snap-lock and they need to be put together in long rows, or long collumns, but NOT one at atime. One person cannot do this himself alone. I had many cuts and offsets and angles, so I had to work with small sections... and the snap-locks would not cooperate. I wound up having to shave the lip on most snap-locks and drift them together with a block of wood and hammer. Also, if the slats are not perfectly lined up, the corners can chip when they get in a bind. Also, because of the different sides on the snap-locks MAKE SURE to get at least 10% more than you need (as they suggest) because you will need it! I ran out of usable pieces because of the edge cuts and had to order more to finish. Now I am waiting for the trim to be back ins stock so I can finish this install. Be prepared to wait on "out of stock" delays... but well worth the wait as beautiful as it looks!
Bottom line... hire a contractor or get a friend who knows home remodeling to help you, or you will invent some new cuss words!

We installed Dupont's Henna Hickory Laminate flooring in our living room. The color is rich and warm. My husband and I installed the 15X18 floor on a Saturday. We had never installed laminate flooring so were novices. I would recommend purchasing the installation block and tapper as it would certainly make the job easier. We had to learn the technique of getting the planks at the right angle to get them to snap in properly while using a wood block and rubber mallet which took us extra time to perfect our technique. The floor however looks gorgeous and we are happy with our choice and proud of our installation.

Immediately after this floor was installed in my living room, neighbors did a back flip on how beautiful it was. The true test came when I let my 65 lb. hound dog run across the floor without making a mark. I held my breath but the product stood up to the test...no scratches from her toenails at all! I would definitely recommend this to everyone with animals.!!
