I used this to build a reach-in master closet system and it worked perfectly for what I needed. It took the stain really well without any conditioners and I was pleased to find very few voids.

I was thrilled when I saw this plywood on the shelf. Have been a finish carpenter for 40 yrs. and have watched the decline of veneer plywood through the years. This is made the way it used to be made with seven plys and not 12 or so like the stuff that has flooded the market in recent years. It is made in the USA. Seldom is a piece of plywood going to be flat but I have found this maple to be easy to work with and the veneer is thick enough to be sanded unlike the other plywood around. If your sheet is bowing lay it out on saw horses with weight on it and bring it back into shape...keep out of sunlight and humid areas.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by hammertime Decent wood for lesser grade cabinets
Hesitant on recommending product. Quality inconsistent. Some voids in the core plys, pieces delaminated in places, some sheeets pretty warped which made gluing up the cabinet boxes a trick. Really sad that they have 'made in the USA' stamped all over the side and don't take any pride in the end product. Decent quality. I'm not paying $75+ a sheet for the great stuff. Just wish Depot would step on their suppliers a little and monitor the junk that comes into the store.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by shopdog utilitarian plywood
If you're looking for quality plywood for high end cabinetry, go elsewhere. This is big box store plywood at a big box store price, i.e. cheap. I was using it for shop cabinets, so voids in the veneer cores, and top sheets that chipped easily and delam-ed due to poor glue quality were acceptable. This isn't A-1 plywood, so don't expect it be. If on the other hand you need cheap plywood for utilitarian projects, you'll be satisfied. Finally, this is paint grade plywood. If you want to stain it, use a sealer like de-waxed shellac or at least a gel stain; it's soft maple so it will blotch easily.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by RickinHanford Good quality hardwood plywood
had never used a dado blade on hardwood plywood. Based on other reviews I was concerned it might not work well. After scoring the cut edges I made several dado cuts perfectly. Plywood was straight and without blemish. Certainly a very good product, especially for the price.

Finish grade plywood should at least be flat. There is at least 3-4 inches of bow accross the short side of the sheet. These sheets are not even close to being finish grade. I've seen constuction grade that's flatter than this stuff. The veneer is extremely thin and not glued very well to the plywood. I will never buy this product again!

One side full finished maple. One side panels. Used it for my cabinets, worked pretty well, and looks nice. Some bow to one board. Not finish grade on two sides.
