CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 3.5 out of 5 by 2 reviewers.
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Boards less than ideal Similar to my 10' boards these 8 footers came with some tattered corners and all 8 were not entirely straight. But the deformities are not as pronpounced and I don;t think I'll have a problem using them. The less on is this: It's best to pick your own boards and can transport them in your own vehicle. Unfortunately, I had these delivered as I do not have my own truck. May 8, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Not finish grade lumber but not intended for finish work. My review applies to all the pressure treated 2x's material. It is NOT intended to be finished lumber, it is for framing decks, joists etc. and projects that will not be seen or covered with #2 and better or composite deck material or where appearance is not crucial. Product has lots of knots. Pressure treated lumber I have used has remained termite and mildew free going on 4 years. I always treat cut ends with Termin8, Timbor or similar products to avoid the risk termites will enter at cuts. The pressure treatment penetrates about 1/2 inch max into the wood leaving cut ends vulnerable to insects. Wear gloves [thin latex gloves will suffice] when handling treated wood. I cut with a chop saw that has a sawdust bag to reduce sawdust and airborne particles. Or wear a particle mask when cutting with a circular saw. I judge the extra cost over untreated 2x's to be more than worth the cost. I have started using 2x12's for exterior stair treads. Paints easily but the grip marks used during the treatment process are visible after painting. Also good to sister to a termite weakened joist or cord on a truss you want to reinforce.
