I bought three whole 4x8' boards and had them cut at HD the sizes I needed to cover the ugly chalkboard panels in my classroom. I kept the extra for small group work and velcro'd the pieces I used to the blackboard. Easy install.
I heavily used these boards every single day for an entire school year and experienced only a *little* staining toward the last two months of the year. I used Mr. Clean magic erasers during the day and then Expo cleaner at the end of the day, and I didn't have any major issues. The only slight problem was the color red sometimes, depending on the brand of the dry erase marker.
GREAT value for the use I got out of them. And they're beautiful! Instantly brightens a classroom.

I was looking for a cheap whiteboard that would allow me to write information on in a shop floor setting.
It was very difficult finding an unframed "whiteboard" that was not $400. I called around and finally Home Depot said they have one but its not classified as a "whiteboard" or dry erase board. After checking it out it does indeed work exactly like a whiteboard or dry erase board.
I have not experienced any staining yet but the product works just as good as an expensive whiteboard for my purposes. The expo markers come off with ease and HD will cut them into sizes you need. Overall it is worth what I paid and is an inexpensive way to get a whiteboard.
For enyone who is looking into using whiteboards for any reason this is a good place to start and inexpensive.

have it for playing Pictionary all the time or message board outside.
Used it in New Orleans when we went there for Katrina had it outside in the sun and storms for more than 3 months as a message board. Stands up better than expected outdoors. while there also made a box to keep rain out of truck box

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Kira Awesome, cheap whiteboard
Bought this for my dorm and the guys at Home Depot were kind enough to cut it for me, so now my roommate and I have whiteboards to brainstorm and write notes on pretty much everywhere we'd want them. We stuck them up with command strips, which seem to be working very well. The material is a little bit on the flimsy side, so if you want to use it as a free-standing board, I'd recommend backing it with something. Definitely wipe it down with warm, soapy water before you first start using it; otherwise dry erase markers will most likely leave at least some stains.
Great investment and so much cheaper than what other companies would charge for a whiteboard.

I bought 2 of these panels to use as a white board in my new office. The guys at the store cute each panel into 2 so it would fit in my small SUV. I hung them with metal mirror clips (around $4/pack; I bought 4 packs) to hang them on the walls.
NOTE: If you are planning to use this panel as a white board, the Expo Low Odor Dry Erase Markers will "fade" or creep away due to the surface. This action will stop with frequent use. It's a little bothersome at first. You may want to find a cleaning product that will take care of this.

My kids were writing all over my walls. I bought this and put some trim around it... instant whiteboard. Cleans off easily with dry erase cleaner. I also use it in class when students are solving problems instead of using the blackboard.
