This is a really well made and strong receptacle cover. I put a couple of these on a garage wall that receives a lot of weather and they've held up great. We've had a couple strong storms as well as some long steady rains and they've stayed completely dry. Installation was a breeze and the receptacle included everything needed to create a nice waterproof seal all around. They're very deep, which makes them easy to work with and to keep dry even with an extension cord plugged

This is a dual gang box weather proof cover made of heavy material.I needed to cover an outlet that powers a water fountain located on the side of a pole and is out in all kinds of weather. This was a perfect solution because of the design. The installation was easy. The accessibility of lifting the lid to open the cover was user friendly. It is deep enough so you can have the two power cords going straight down to the ground and through the opening on the bottom of the cover and out of the way so it is not a hazard.
Glad I found these at HD.

This is a perfect outdoor box to prevent water to get into the plug and wet the contacts. Easy installation and is a direct replacement over the current face plate. One thing I found a little cumbersome is to align the soft weather gasket; I had a little of trouble aligning it. Other than that, the box is built to NEC and all of the openings, screws, and the like are all in specs. The clear cover is helpful to see the connection.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Hootbro Easy to install and works as advertised.
This was mostly easy to install. I did have two installation concerns.
1. On the back side of the box, there is a foam gasket that is supposed to give a weather seal against the junction box behind. But that foam was a little crushed near the corners. I screwed this product on nice and tight, compressing the gasket, but given its uneven thickness to begin with, I'm not 100% confident it's making a good seal. If it turns out it leaks, it'll be an easy bead of silicone to fix the problem.
2. The hinged plastic cover snaps onto the back half of box. You line up four plastic hinge pins on the box with matching holes on the cover, and slide sideways till it snaps in place. Sounds easy, but I found it to be a real PITA before I finally got it.

This weather-proof receptacle cover was very easy to install. There is a foam gasket on the back of the base which provides the junction box a weather-proof seal when mounted against a wall. When placed against an uneven surface it is suggested to obtain a good seal that you run a bead of caulk or sealant around the base. The hinged plastic cover is secured to the back half of box by a hinge pin. You line up the four plastic hinge pins on the box with matching holes on the cover, and slide the hinge pin sideways till it snaps in place. It is comes with wasp guides that you install in the base where the AC cords enter the junction box. These will also prevent small geckos from entering the receptacle cover.
