I've tried the vole 'killers', they didn't work at all. But I sprinkled a bit of this stuff in an area where the pest were digging and they disappeared......albeit they moved to the other side of the house. so I sprinkled some more on that side of the house, a liittle in the front and a little in the back and..... viola! They're gone. It's been 6 months and they haven't come back, but I still have a half a bag in case they do.

I have not seen any critters around the hole since using it. I tried another product that didn't work so well. So far, so good.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Webber Excellent Repellant for Squirrels
I tried everything to keep squirrels from climbing in my bird feeders. I used the product as recommended and I have not had a squirrel in my feeds for a week. And I have a lot of squirrels around my house because of two huge oak trees that drop acorns in the fall.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by sandiegohaunted Might work in some conditions
Gophers have been a constant nuisance in my yard for the last 10 years (no experience with moles). There are a few things to note about this product. It contains chili powder which will irritate your hands if you have any small nicks or cuts. In addition, I suggest to sprinkle the product close to the ground and out of the wind, it will burn your eyes. As a side note don't make the mistake of using the same hand you sprinkle the product with, to wipe your face.
The results seemed inconsistent, some times it seemed like the repellent kept gophers away then other times not at all. In the end, after 6 months of use and two bags of product I still had the same number of gopher holes and broke down to hire a professional to treat the problem .

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Bill Works well but have to use Periodically - I like birds.
I am feeding birds. Surprise, bird feed attracts rodents. I scatter this product around the ground, down there blasted holes and in with the bird seed. The rodents don't like the pepper and the birds don't mind it at all. READ THE LABEL. Rain etc dissipates the product. When the rodents return, I reapply this product. It stops the unwanted visitors for awhile which is what I'm looking for.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by gzproger Doesn't work for me - may work for repelling visiting moles
I give two stars, because during the time I used this product, I did see increased mole activities neighbors' yards, which mean the product did discourage the moles to stay.
This product might work to kick visiting moles away, but doesn't work if the mole has settled down.
I have very serious mole problem in my back yard. Mole actives lasted two month, some mounts are more than 2 feed diameter. Since mole removing services are very expensive, I decided to give this product a try.
After four days, I used up one bag and successfully decreased mole activities in my back yard; I also see a lot of new mole mounts on my neighbors' front yards.
I bought another bag and continue using for two more days, and then gave up - the spicy ingredients made my nose upset.
A few days later, I found moles are still in my backyard, they just abandon the feeding tunnels that have this repellent, and begin creating new tunnels. For some reason, they also stopped visiting my neighbors' yards.
I attached a photo shows that two weeks after stopping using the repellent, there are lots of giant mounts in my lawn. Note that there is also a sonic device in the picture.
Conclusion: If you don't want to call contractors, buy and use repellents as soon as you see new mounts. Nothing works after the moles are settled down.

This stuff works. Anywhere you put it, the gophers move away. Unfortunately, they move 5' to 8' away and the process starts over. Broadcasting with a spreader is difficult because the powder is so fine. Also, it turns out I am highly allergic to this stuff, so I *highly* recommend using a mask when handling. It may not seem a very positive result, but this stuff works better than those noise spike things (have two, gophers burrow right next to them), "organic" repellent (which works - slowly - and needs regular reapplication), and even bombs (which don't have any residual effect).
