Customer Questions & Answers

if I mount 2 feet of the bottom into concrete, would this withstand wind when holding up light gourd martin house(s

i need to raise and lower the pole when mounted several times a year
Asked by: birdy
I like your idea. However, I would cement a 2' section of pipe into the concrete so that you could then slide any pole into the cemented pipe. If the pole broke or if you needed to do maintenance you could easily pull it out of the cemented base. I would consider a "wind sock pole"(check Amazon) these are telescoping fiberglass poles that can be bought in sizes over 20'. These flex when the wind blows instead of breaking. If your gourd houses were a bit heavier you could also go with telescoping fiberglass flag poles. Ive seen them on Amazon also.

What size of threads are on the pole?

Does this use 3/8" PT?

No threads on the pipes. The blue twister handles are compression and friction grip.

It gets the job done and is great to have. It is a little heavy when extended, but probably needs to be. I have had it about a month and have removed cobwebs that have been there for years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Money saver Happy with the product. Although I did use a ladder I was able to reach approximately 30 feet high on the siding on my house with no problem. Product isstrong enough and has versatile end attachment capability. Attachments sold separately.( Soft brush and window squeegy/microfiber cleaning sponge). Money saver in my opinion since it beats hiring someone to pressure wash every year.

The pole is a bit expensive for what it is but I couldn't find it cheaper anywhere else including amazon. It is a twist lock, twist open type and therefore is easy to raise and lower. The pole will flex when extended over 15 feet but not a big deal when cleaning windows. The end of the pole accomodates both screw on and clip on type accessories although my clip on squeegee was too small to fit all the way over the end but grips enough not to fall off when using. All in all the best deal around for this type of pole.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor construction I thought this was a perfect product to clean the high ledges, doorways, etc in our home. However, on the second day of it being used the connection part for the "head" of the unit snapped off. It is a poor grade of plastic and not substantial in the design to make it last. On the one day it was used it was fantastic for removing dust from high areas in our home but not a reliable product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Telescopic Pole Telescopic Pole: The pole is lightweight and easy to use all the way extended. The only thing that you need to watch out for is extending the small pole to far so that it bends when you apply pressure to wash a window. They should have "stops" or a marking warning you to not go beyond a point on the pole to ensure proper engagement.
