i used it both in pool and our camper flush the system in trailer for ten minutes no taste or order you would never have known what we used good product for price above ground lower the water with a small pump i pour 10 gallons in a drum push it till bottom drain is coverd in pink solution done till spring hard pvc never a problem hope this helps

Yes, that is it's purpose. HOWEVER, that said, the "cheaper brands" you see on sale ($2.50-2.98/gal) will have ethanol alcohol in them in order to lower the price. (check the ingredient label) For about $1.50 more you can find RV Antifreeze that does NOT have alcohol in it. Propylene Glycol will be the main ingredient. Alcohol can dry out the seals and O-rings in the water system over time. Personally I Read More

Why is this advertised as propylene glycol when the msds states it is ethylene glycol. Which is correct????

Because it has to be non-toxic for potable water systems, they use propylene glycol and alcohol.
They DO NOT use Ethylene glycol, as it is toxic.

No you will need boiler antifreeze to keep the heat exchanger, and other components happy and in working order for their life.

You'd have to check with the manufacturer of your hot water floor heating system to ensure that this anti-freeze can be put in without any issues.

We have used this product for the last two years to winterize our mobile home for Connecticut winters. Works great and may be used in all systems, including the fresh water tank. Easy to flush in the Spring.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from NOT FOR BOAT ENGINES Uni-Gard -50 Uni-Proof Anti-freeze has ethanol. Therefore it should NOT be used to winterize boat engines. Rated 1 star because its misleading packaging is too much like products that are recommended for winterizing boat engines. Boat engines should be winterized with an antifreeze based on propylene glycol & corrosion inhibitors (no ethanol/ethyl alcohol, no methanol/methyl alcohol, no ethylene glycol). Read MSDS's to be more certain, because a product label can say it's based on propylene glycol, & not disclose that it is also blended with ethanol.
