Answer:
It took no more than 30 minutes to install once you figured out the parts. Need a phillips-head screw driver and pliers. That's it. All of the pieces inter-lock and then put a screw and nut through the holes. Easy as cake.

holds much more than 6-8 pieces! I keep mine outdoors, on the deck, near the door. I think this is much too large for your purpose.

Answer:
Yes indeed. Will eventually rust out, but if you do not try and move it from place to place it will continue to function, just not as attractive. IMO the price makes it acceptable to replace after a few years if necessary.

Answer:
It IS made for use outdoors, however I bought (8) 3/4" plastic end caps to cover the ends of the tube steel. I also sprayed mine down with black truck liner available in a spray paint can. Lastly I set it up off the ground so the tube steel doesn't rest in a puddle of water and rust out. I intend to cover it in the winter time with a tarp, but that's more to keep the wood dry than for the rack.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Large hoop firewood rack does the job This firewood rack is a good value once you've put it together. But putting it together was more of a challenge than I expected, especially since there is only about a dozen pieces. As others have stated, the instruction sheet is lacking details, and is you're not paying attention, it's easy to make mistakes. It seemed pretty flimsy once assembled, however after I filled it up halfway with firewood, it was as sturdy as could be. We have this rack set up right next to our wood stove in our living room. We're very happy with it. For under $30, I couldn't find anything better. It is big though, so keep that in mind.

Installation would be easier with two people, but was workable with one. Some people have complained about missing holes; in one instance that appears to be true, but if you flip the pieces around, the holes will be where they ought to be. This is the sort of piece where you don't want to ratchet everything down too tightly until it's all together. Diagram could have been better, but you shouldn't expect a video tutorial on a $30 rack. Cannot comment on rust resistance, as it's currently in a covered area.

Instructions are pretty lacking, but easy to figure out with a little common sense. Sturdy when put together. The only negative is that the ends of all the pipes are open, so if the rack is to be used outside, you'll have to seal them or drill holes in the bottom for water to drain. Because of this and the fact that all the hardware is regular steel, I can't imagine it'll last outdoors more than a few years, but still a great deal for the price and I would buy again

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Prefect for our needs I ordered this online and picked it up in the store. Everything needed was included. My husband put it together in about 15 Minutes with no issues. We packed it full the same day. Looks great, sturdy. He did mention the lack of plugs on the ends, but our porch has a large overhang so we're not concerned. I'll probably get a second one for another area. Can't beat the price!

I am also pleased that they didn't make any changes to the product. It holds a bunch of wood and looks great. (With two racks, I can always have one rack full of wood that has time to dry inside the house while I burn from the other rack.)
