Target has this same table for LESS money! I called Home Depot and they did match the price. Currently, Target has this table for $489.99. Quite a savings! I have shopped for gas fire pits for quite some time. I love this one because of a few things:
propane tank is hidden inside table, table area of fire pit is nice and large/wide, height is great, tile work on top is beautiful, metal work around the sides is nice, price is fantastic. I read the reviews before assembling and thankful I did. When assembling this table, take the cardboard that comes with it and set the tile top upside down on the cardboard and then assemble. I put in the bowl first and then started working counter clockwise assembling the legs and side pieces. Then I slid in the bottom tray at an angle and pulled it up, screwing it in as I went. I then flipped the table and put the propane tank in. I am a 30 year old female and was able to assemble this table by myself in about 3 hours. It is kind of tricky to do by yourself but I'd say the hardest part was unloading it and getting it to my backyard by myself as it is quite heavy in the box. The directions aren't too great but if you are moderately inclined on figuring things out, you'll be fine. There is a cover that comes with the table. There is also a black cover that comes with the table to go around the propane tank. It does a great job of hiding the tank under the table as you can see through the lattice work on the sides. I am considering taking the styrofoam pieces that the side pieces came with, spray painting them black, and then reinserting them in the sides. This would make the entire thing solid (can't see through the table) and I'm hoping will keep some bugs and water out when it rains. Just an idea though. Make sure you set the lava rock by hand on the grate and don't dump the bag. With the logs, I don't see a huge need for adding more lava rock. Personal preference. I put the battery in the starter and it fired right up about 4 times. Can't wait to enjoy a glass of wine at my new outdoor table this evening! Highly recommend this purchase! I am attaching pictures as well. Time will tell is this table is durable.

This is a nice product. It was packed very well for shipping. And I didn't think it was difficult to assemble at all. I read all the other reviews, some stating it was hard to assemble, but I didn't find that to be the case. The instructions were just ok, but gave me enough to go on.
It lit up on the first attempt and seems to put out plenty of heat for my purposes.
I cannot speak to the durability yet, but it seems well built.
It is a beautiful pit. I am very satisfied!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Rplcg Attractive addition to back patio
The fire pit is attractive, but the trade-off for aesthetics is the yellow flame, which means an incomplete burn of fuel. This causes smoke, which is by design. After speaking with a manufacturer support rep, she indicated that a pure blue flame, similar to what you would get on a lp/propane gas cooktop, is cleaner but not as attractive as the yellow you get from the fire pit. Also, as another reviewer indicated, the rocks smoke less than using the included ceramic logs, which can gather quite a bit of soot. The cover is garbage. After the first winter, the cover had multiple rips. We're looking for a replacement cover now.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by ColoradoGirl Nice fire pit- worth the $$
I decided to spend a little more money on this particular model and very glad I did. The assembly took a couple of hours but definitely worth it. It worked perfectly the very first time we started it up. It's a nice size, the first night we had it entertained a group of 8 very comfortably around it. The fire pit doesn't throw off a ton of heat initially unless you turn up the flame pretty high, but eventually the stone surround gets warm and the heat disperses a little better. The concrete "logs" did smell a little funny for a while after we started it up, so we moved them more toward the edges of the rock area which helped. Overall extremely happy with this fire pit, it's very nice looking, works well and I know we'll enjoy it often this summer.

I was able to put this together pretty quick and it was fairly easy by myself. The slate top looks great and the fire pit works great!

The holes on the pit did not line up, difficult to put together. The door on the fire pit does not line up with the holes and therefore can not be mounted. I went to our Home Depot Store and was told they could not help me since I purchased it on line. They told me to ship it back. It weighs 156 pounds and the doors are the last to be installed. Very disappointed with Home Depot!!! I will need to hire someone to fix it.

Firepit took a little time to put together but instructions were good. We're so happy with the product. It's very attractive and has an easy on/off procedure. It's safe to use under trees because there are no flying embers. Very pleased with ordering and delivery service provided by Home Depot. If you like sitting outside under the stars you'll enjoy this product.

Only thing, do not use the cheap fake logs that come with the fire pit--they stink and they smoke. Stay with the lava rocks.
