Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Ozscan Works in Australia - with a few limitations
Purchased a dozen of these scanners and imported them into Australia a few months back - sold them all within a week.
Even thought the scanner misses a few frequency bands here in Australia, it has proven to be an excellent scanner to monitor emergency services in some regions of Australia. Uniden Australia should introduce this model here in Australia to replace the two current dinosaurs we heave here - UBC73XLT AND UBC93XLT. Great price - more features than you could ever need and well built. I will be importing more!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by HokusDrammen A very good scanner with many opportunities!
I have had most Uniden Bearcat radios from the 80s, my first radio was UBC50XL, UBC125XLT have a good receiver on all bands, have good modulation on AM and FM, easy to program the UBC125XLT, but I have trouble getting installing usb driver so I have given up doing!

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by JohnS Worst Scanner Ever
I have had many scanners from Uniden and have been pleased with all of them. But this was the worst scanner I have ever had. First of all the instructions are absolutely terrible and unclear. When you finally figure out the instructions the scanner does not work the way it is supposed. And when you try to set it up online installing the drivers for it is a nightmare. This is definitely not a good scanner for a first time user or any user for that matter.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by AT125User Best Starting Handheld Ever From Uniden America Corp.
I totally disagree with the last review. This is the easiest handheld scanner packed with features of the higher end handhelds. It has everything one would want ONLY lacking 800Mhz and trunking which it clearly states. You get CTCSS/DCS/Alpha-Tagging/Close-Call Capturing/Signal Strength Meter/2-AAA Rechareable batteries/strap/ and a computer cable. What more could the other user want? I don't get it! It should also be known that I DON'T work for Uniden America Corp. but I do knonw that Paul O-product designer has put his heart and soul into the design of this product so it is a top notch and a huge LCD display that even I can see nicely!!! The sensitivity is amazing and audio quality is great so with that being said, if your out in a non-metro area were trunking is NOT needed....this is THE WAY TO GO!! If anyone needs more information..please contact me on here.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Pete BC125AT: An Excellent Value
I have owned the BC125AT for almost a year, and feel well-qualified to write a brief review. I particularly enjoy monitoring both civil and military aircraft bands, and the BC125AT excels in these areas.
The software, available via simple download, is easy to use, and bank programming, backlight options, and search selections are simple to configure. The USB driver is very easy to install if the user follows the provided instructions.
The BC125AT display is superb, and the user can program in up to 16-character alpha-numeric ‘names’ for any of the 500 channels, as desired. The display shows all kinds of useful information, including received signal ‘strength,’ channel name, channel number, frequency, mode, CTCSS tone, and bank. There’s plenty of room on the display, and the resulting information is presented in a very easy-to-read manner.
Audio output is excellent, both in volume, and intelligibility. In fact, the BC125AT actually replaced a ‘desktop’ scanner that used to be part of my amateur radio station.
The service-search feature provides easy search access to commonly-used police, fire, EMS, amateur, civil and military air, marine, railroad, CB radio, FRS/GMRS, and racing frequencies. Also, the BC125AT allows the user to program in up to 10 ‘custom’ search ranges, making the scanner even more versatile. Because I live in an area not served by 800 MHz or trunked systems, the BC125AT serves my needs just fine.
Finally, the BC125AT form factor (shape) is very well-designed. It fits easily into the hand, and the buttons are large enough to allow reliable operation from those of us that have ‘larger’ fingers. Whether you plan on using the scanner at home or on the go, the BC125AT is a very smart choice.
