The HD website says my local store (Medford Oregon) doesn't carry this item. It is available in Crescent City. Can you deliver it to my store in Medford, Oregon?

Is there a handle that comes on this door?

I dont see a handle and would want to make sure it has one. If so, what color does it come in? Thanks
Asked by: Eric
Yes. The handle is black, and pretty flimsy. It's not attached to the door, so you'll have to measure carefully and drill three holes. Don't use the plastic guide that comes with the kit. It's too shallow. Use the paper template. Good luck.

Is the bottom panel solid or mesh?
Asked by: Karyn
Thank you for your interest in our Riviera Hinged Screen Door. The bottom of the Riviera is a metal mesh which can act as a pet grille. I hope this information is helpful for you.

How to you install a dog door on this unit.

I see that a dog door can be installed onto this door. How is this done? Will the protective screen at the base of the door be cut or removed to allow for the installation of the dog door?
Asked by: TaskMonster
Buy a storm door for dog door installment. DO NOT try to add anything to this door... the puny hinge system can barely support the door.

30 in. x 80 in. Riviera White Outswing Metal Hinged Screen Door is rated 2.2 out of 5 by 39.

The instructions indicate ithe door ships with the hinges on the left, swinging toward you. FALSE. During the process of changing the swing, the captive nut that holds the hinge extender channel on came loose from its mount, and just spins in the door frame. Overpriced junk. This from an experienced installer.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I am not happy with this screen. I was looking for a matching replacement of my old screen and ho... I am not happy with this screen. I was looking for a matching replacement of my old screen and hoped that this one is the same model. It took me three trips to the store to get it but it's a separate story. The new screen is solid, an inch thick. It could be a good thing but as a result it is too heavy -- I am worried about my dogs when it swings on wind -- for God's sake I only need it to stop moscuitos! The mash covering its lower third makes loud rattling sound every time when somebody opens or closes the screen. Possible "adjustments" are limited to only slight width change and a gap filler at the bottom. Position of hinges is fixed and can't be adjusted. Installation became a big deal. I wouldn't buy it if I knew all this before having it delivered.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor design, not recommended I installed this door for a neighbor and it took nearly two days screwing around with the door to make it work. It was too narrow for a 36" wide opening although that is what it was designed for. Had to use a wood filler on the hinge side and mortise the hinges. Instructions were extremely poor. Threaded adjustment screws were fine thread and cross threaded when trying to make the width adjustment. All in all, this is not a door for a DYI installation. I am a general contractor and not a novice. The design may look good on paper but in actuality, the engineering design couldn't have been fully tested. Do not recommend the door at all.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Still having nightmares... Here I lay, two nights later and I am still beating myself up over the decision to waste my money on this product. Please, put your wallet away and step back from the computer. This door was a waste of $100 and 6 hours. Your frustration will start with the instructions, then escalate when the adjusting screws strip and you have to go back to the hardware store, then climax when you have to cut any adjustments to the frame. I'm not an expert, but I have good tools and I've installed several screen doors in the past. This morning I woke up and threw this door in the trash. Then I went to Lowes and bought the Comfort-Bilt Beach White Aluminum screen door. I would urge anyone else to do the same. For an extra $10, I ended up with a quality door that installed in about an hour.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Sorry I bought this door. The second bolt for the door handle wouldn't thread in all the way and it sheared off when I tried to. No hardware store in the SF Balley had that bolt. Fortunaely, I found one in my garage and cut it down. To make the door fit vertically the end channel didn't seem to have enough to make it solid so I have a gap on the bottom and need to buy a second one but the manufacturer ignored my request to buy one. Home Depot doesn't sell them. So I will need to find another mfg that will respond or have a local shop make one for me. The door closer doesn't seem to have sufficient adjustment. With a half-turn it goes from slamming the door to not closing it hard enough to make it lock.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from DO NOT BUY!!! I own a bakery and bought this screen door to replace one that I bought from home depot a couple of years ago. They no longer carried that brand so I went with the next best thing that looked close to the one I had on the other door next to it. WRONG!!! I have put on multiple screen doors myself and in very good time. It took me 3 times as long and had to make additional adjustments like adding additional screws to keep the door from moving in from the hinge. It was the worst door ever. Then it only lasted a couple of months before someone one bent the door frame where the handle was. The aluminum was so thin it pails in comparison to a coke can. DO NOT BUY!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst...Purchase....Ever! Horrible! I tried three different doors (same model), and there were problems with each. All three times there were screws missing, did not fit right, and two times the non-replacable built-in screws that are a part of the hinges/rails were bent, so they had to have been dropped in transit. I still tried installing the door, but of course it would not work right as they would not screw in properly. They also all had scratches on them. I have never been so disgusted with Home Depot for carrying this item. I wish I had looked at the item on the website first to see that these problems are all too common. How does Home Depot still justify carrying this item when everyone says how horrible it is? I have always gone to Home Depot for all of my projects, but I'm now off to Lowe's or Ace Hardware!
