I shopped around for a solid security door for my in-town Atlanta home. This door was a simple design and affordable. Although cautioned by the floor sales person that the mesh wasn't tight enough to keep bugs out, I've been pleasantly surprised that insects from my garden have been deterred by the "screen," which is an added benefit. A good purchase. If I had it to do again, I would likely step to to the sturdier door in the same style so I could consider leaving doors open overnight.

This security door should keep the honest people out. Reversible option for right of left opening. Cleared the interior door knobs okay. Really need the special over sized bit for the one-way screws when using a power drill or really large straight screwdriver with large blade and a crescent or pipe wrench to leverage the shaft while applying pressure to screw in. Buy Derusto paint for touch up on any marks or scratches, door and frame will rust eventually. Use self stick weather strip to fill the gaps for a bug free environment.

I just bought my first home, this security door was the first thing I installed on my two doors. I did one door by myself, it was a little tricky trying to level everything out on my own,I bought the wooden shims and they really helped. They are $2.00 and located right by the doors in the store, I highly recommend them. Also, use a drill bit that's closer to the thickness of the screws. The screws are long and very hard to screw in if you use the recommended drill bit. Last but not least, the screws are one way screws, so you should also buy the one way screw drill bit (especially if you'll need to remove or adjust the door), but a large flat head screw driver works fine for the install.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by pleasedcustomer1 good value in steel security exterior door
This steel door was the easiest door I have ever hung. Remember the double cylinder deadbolt and door handle lock set are not included. Use a double cylinder deadbolt as the expanded metal screen can still be punctured and door handles could then be reached from outside. This door was an excellent value for the cost. I am surprised that this is not a home depot stocked item.

Cheap piece of garbage - started rusting through in 2 months. And I live in dry climate of southern California. Installation is tricky due to non-removable screws. Once you tighten it, there's no removing it, so no room for error at all - very stupid.

We did have the door installed and did not do it ourselves (mainly due to time), we didn't even try - so I'm not sure about the ease of installation for others. This was put on a rental property, and the tenant is happy. Looks nice. Put two doors on in one afternoon.
