Door was warped, bellied out in the middle by the 2 holes for door knob , lock.
Upper and lower corners touched the lock side jamb, middle of door was out from jamb almost 1/2" .
So it might have latched if you gave the door a good body slam!
I didn't get that far,,,,I just returned it and got a more expensive one.
Who compensates me for my 2nd trip to store and waistng my time?
I only "owned" it 4 hours, for some reason "1 week" is the shortest option on this form.

We wanted a quality door for a reasonable price. This door fit the bill. It keeps out unwanted individuals and critters too. The mesh is tight enough we had no problems keeping mosquitoes and flies out while letting in the night air during the summer months.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Sleepy RUST!!! Awful manufacturer customer service!
I had this door for less than a year before it started rusting. Like another commenter, I called HD who told me to take pics and email the manufacturer. The manufacturer emailed me back saying 1) I should repaint the door (no offer to give me any paint or Rustoleum), 2) I live in a place where steel will rust no matter what (true, I'm in the San Francisco Bay Area), and 3) Why don't I look at their aluminum doors which will not rust? I would give the manufacturer (not HD) negative stars if I could! Bad customer service along with a sales pitch?!?!
This IS a nice looking door if you don't need serious security but with the worst paint job. If you are looking to get one I suggest you take it to a local place to powder coat it (these places often do cars, motorcycles, outside metal furniture, etc.) and THEN install it. I had to take my door down before I could have the experts powder coat it (security screws are a pain to undo, but I guess that's the point). A friend kindly reinstalled it for me and now the door is what I really wanted it to be.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by DaTruth The whole door is rusting
I purchased the door in July 2014; by October 2014 the whole door was rusting. I spoke with a Home Deport Rep. I was to tell to take, and e-mail pictures of the door. The HD Rep. said the vendor would mail some touch up paint. When the paint arrived, I could not believe my eyes, the touch up paint was about the size of a small bottle of nail polish. I was really disappointed. I tried on several occasions to get the issue resolve with home depot, but I was given the run around. I have come to the conclusion that I will have to buy some paint and spray the door, or hire a painter to spray it.

Plumbed and Hung door according to poorly described instructions and pictures. You have to install the door which is not framed. It is not a framed door. The door has only one side with a frame. The top, bottom and the locking side of the door have no frame welded to them. They are all separate pieces. The hinged side must be installed firmly in order to properly plumb the door. The included vertical bar used to complete the frame on the handle side of the door is installed separately, as is the top piece. There is no bottom framing piece. This is awkward and difficult. Then when you try to close and latch the door the door is bellied out in the middle you cannot get the door to lock because the door on the handle side is bowed out.
This is a steel security door so it is almost impossible to re-bend it to lock when installed. Taking the door off to lay flat to bend it flat requires the removal of the one-way security screws which cannot be done. I went back to the store to talk to the door department on the problem. They were of no help at all and had never heard of a bent door. Maybe Home Depot should recommend that they read some product reviews once is a while on the products they sell. One employee said I could purchase another tool to remove the special security screws! Very, very frustrating

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Kitty Starting rusting from seams and any small scratch upon first rain.
I paid more for this door (now $99?) at the Crescent City H.D. to use on courtyard entrance. Paid contractor a lot to install jam and door. Door started rusting from seams and any sort of scratch in first rain. Being that it rains a lot here in Brookings, OR, it looked horrible in short time. Might be able to paint or calk seams. It is powder coated (though not in seams); so painting whole door is not an easy option. The $149 "Max" (Online only) model will undoubtedly have the same problem. I would have paid much more for this door if it was rust proof.
