Contacted the company (out of warranty), and they basically said they can't do parts because they buy the doors. Had purchased three doors from this manufacturer, and installed one. Is pretty flimsy, hard to install, and definitely not worth what I paid for them. (Note: also bought the Catalina that came in with an unusable hinge set and smashed door frame.) I would strongly recommend not buying this product

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Think twice before buying I hired a contractor to install. I bought this product as well as its 32" model simultaneously. The instructions included in the packaging were incorrect for the model(s) purchased. The packaging also did not include the screws to attach the door to the extender piece. Not just for one door, mind you, but two! (Note: Product description states mounting hardware included.) One of the closure "arms" was defective and I had to go back for a replacement. To top it off, the insect screen came away from the framing because the molding to hold the screen in place was not installed correctly. I had to physically push the screen and molding into place. Very shoddy construction and not worth the price paid for them!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not Actually The Size It Says The door itself is an adequate screen door with one warning: It's not really the size it says. I bought two 30" doors and one 36" door. It wasn't until I got them out of the packaging that I measured them only to discover that each door is 2" smaller than stated. Even if you install it in the expansion channel all the way to the edge, you'll still be a half inch too narrow. The company must know there's a problem because they offer a fix that you can order via internet (2 weeks to arrive). What you get is two four foot sections of cheap 1x1 plastic to install between the expansion channel hinge and the door frame. The result is something that looks like you hamburgered something together with some doors you found at a garage sale. Needless to say, I took them back. If your door is considerably smaller than the size stated on the packaging, you can probably make this product work. Otherwise, DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor design I have had nothing but problems with the unique home design standard metal screen door. The plastic top guides do not snap in as advertised so they can't be used. The door won't close fully because the ends of the door at top and bottom flare out so the door won't fit. The instructions are poor and note that they don't have a phone number to call if there are problems...even on their website. Stay away from this product!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not a wide enough edge piece to hold the door on. Even though our door opening is 36", the piece that mounts on the door frame to hold the screen door wasn't wide enough to attach screws to actually hold the screen on. The manufacturer seems to know this is a problem because there was a paper insert to tell us how to order a free trim kit online to solve the problem. The kit is supposed to arrive within 6 days (which should be today, but I'm not holding my breath). Meanwhile the hot weather is here NOW, which is why we bought the screen in the first place. What a total hassle.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from tough to install, nice door though There is an associated video. A good idea to watch it a few times first, but it obscures a few details. Let me save you some frustration. 1) When you use the guide to drill the 5/16 holes, drill thru one side of the door and then take the drill out. Remove the guide, then complete the hole thru the other side of the door. Put the guide back in place, repeat 2x more. Why? Because if you leave the guide in place like the video shows, your drill bit will hit the back side and if you aren't perfectly square to it then the bit will cause it to shatter. 2) the video doesn't mention it, but the handle vendor sizes the push shaft for a 1" thick door. This door is not 1" thick. If you watch the video you might think you just push the shaft thru and bolt 'er up. That's what they show. Try it, hilarity ensues. The instruction sheet tells you that you need to cut the shaft first. Overall the fit and feel of this is a bit cheesy. The door comes with a few paint scrapes built in from the factory (I was careful when unpacking, they were already there). If your exterior wood door frame isn't too square then this will look a bit funny, but you're the only one who will notice.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Very Missleading I purchased the screen door to install this weekend, and after reading another review about a trim kit needed, I went to the store to look at different screen door options. I saw that there was a huge bright pink sticker 8 X 10 inches on the box that said " FREE Trim kit included to fit wider openings:" I figured they had included the needed parts, and this would work for me, HOWEVER, the word should of been "available" not "included". So after getting home and opening the box, I have ordered the simple two piece PVC expander I need, and am waiting the 6 days for it to arrive, which means it will NOT be installed this weekend as planned. This expander cant cost more than a couple dollars to include with the door. If the door was $5-10 more, it wouldn't of caused me not to purchase it.
