This is an excellent door, however, the word "SCREEN" SHOULD BE REMOVED. There is no screen. It is most definitely a security door, but no screen. My husband will have to build a small frame with a screen attached to it to make sure no bugs, mosquitoes will be able to enter. I answered yes to the question whether I would recommend the door because it is an excellent heavy duty door, however, be aware there is no screen. Read the other reviews re: what hardware you need to buy as there is not much that comes with this door. All in all I like it, especially once I have my screen in there, but had I known there was no screen, I probably would not have bought it.

The door was packaged well, so as to avoid damage in transit. Pickup was sooner than anticipated but not disappointing.
This door is solid and rather easy to install but be sure to read the instructions first. Also be sure to measure correctly and if you apply to any outside molding adjust for the inward slope of the wood, since not doing so will cause the door closure openings on the frame to be out of alignment with the door knob and deadbolt.

Most of this review has to do with installation. First of all, Home Depot's Installation Team refused to do the work as my front door had a 'Side Light' window that this door would (VERY OBVIOUSLY) not cover. I explained that I did not care about the security of the Side Light and explained that the door was being purchased for secure ventilation of the house WHILE WE WERE OCCUPYING IT, not to keep someone from gaining access through the Side Light. They didn't care and refused the job. OK, so I ordered the door myself (we had wasted nearly three weeks by this point). I hired a handy-man service to install the door. That actually went fairly well. However even the handy man pointed out that there is no way to screw in the 'one-way' screws that secure the door frame to the house without scratching them up and that a small bottle of touch-up paint should be included. The largest problem was the door left a significant gap a the bottom but this was filled neatly by a 1x4" pending a permanent solution The additions of the 'Sweep' and Top Seal from the kit sold with the door helped finish it off. The last issue was how noisy the door was on closing in particular and a small gap around the edges between the door and frame. Two rolls of self-adhesive foam window seal made a large improvement and finished off the job. I like the end result, but the whole process was far more difficult than it should have been. I will give HD style points only in that they refunded the money I had paid for the Installers to come look at the house and then refuse to do the work.

I really like my Eldorado Outswing security door. I like that you can see out the screen door, but those standing on the oustide can't see you. I like its sturdyness. I like the style, the color and the security locks.

The door was very easy to install and looks elegant. 2 friends have complimented us on the choice so far and we have only had it 4 days! Love it!!
Only problem we have with it is that the handle makes it almost impossible to close and have the regular door locked at the same time. We will have to get a different door handle to accommodate the new one.
