I bought this door thinking it was an "all season" door. Glass for the winter, screen for the summer. So disappointed to find it always has to have one piece of glass in it because the manufacturer couldn't be bothered to include one additional screen panel.
Hoping the hubby can fabricate something, because when I want a summer door, I want a full summer door, not partial.
Not pleased with my purchase. I did not realize when purchasing it with the way the description was worded. It says it comes with one screen panel, but I assumed the screen was one large panel, while the glass panels were heavier and came as sections. I never thought it would have to be half and half, makes no sense.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Smitty Very well built.
Not only does this act as a security door, it also is a tight fitting storm door in the winter and has a removable glass panel and a screen inset for the summer.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by ejhes kind of useless as a security door, hard to install.
the other review is dead on, striker plates for lmy ocks will not fit , the screws for the frame are not the irreversible kind so the whole door could eaily be removed in about a minute by anyone who really wanted to get in. the door itself is solid and pretty nice but the frame makes it useless and not really secure at all. install was anniying and i am not happy with it and am going to have to redo and modify the thing to get it to the point of being satisfactory. i feel like i just blew $350 on a glorified screen door.

I've installed numerous screen/security doors in my life and found this one to be the most difficult to install due to the fact that the door z-frame is not designed to accommodate striker plates for locksets. In fact, the door will not fit a standard lock set due to the frame being too shallow to allow for a deadbolt or latch to slide into the z-frame. I had to deform the seal portion of the frame back before the door would close far enough to allow the deadbolt/latch to catch on the hole in the frame. A sort of striker plate was provided with the door, but it was not mentioned anywhere in the short set of instructions that came with the door. Finally, they provide a third-party door closer with no customized instructions for installing on that door and what I found out is that the door closer simply doesn't fit without again performing a modification to the door.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Abraxas First of three different doors installed...a breeze.
This Estate door was the easiest to install & adjust of the three different security doors I purchased and install. Took me about 1.5 hrs from start to finish.
