The door has a flaw which compromises its ability to provide true security. There is nothing to prevent an intruder from cutting a hole in the insect screen and reaching behind the door to unlock it. There should be a metal baffle of some sort to thwart an intruder's attempts to circumvent the locks. Otherwise, I really like the door. It's solid and well crafted. I would like to hear back from the manufacturer regarding any upgrades to the door that would solve this issue. Thank you.

This security door does not come in black.I painted it black and grey. I wanted a door that was unique and different from all security doors in my neighborhood in Detroit. I'm happy to say I have one now. And it looks cool.I have had a lot of compliments from the neighbors and even the mail lady. I also bought the glass panels that fit nicely for winter. So I put glass in the bottom of the door and the bug screen at the top which works out good plenty of air coming in for summer and fall. I will install glass in the top of the door this winter. If tan the color the door comes in is not good for your house you have the power to change it.

The first step is to install the screens, no screws provided. Trip to store to get screws.
Next step, fasten to wall, No tool provided, back to store to buy special tool, $18.
One security screw malformed. Back to store to get another screw.
Bottom rail too high to allow threshold installation. Leave bottom off and adapt sweeper.
It looks good to others, but I see the flaws.
Must add that the guys (not the lady) at the store were very helpful.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by jxlb1513 Very happy with my door....would have been happier if the installers had finished the job and not left us to do itl
This was a very hard and learning experience. We went down to see Gabe in doors and windows, and I
computer printouts of the doors we wanted. But he insisted that with a security screen door, we needed the
steel security screen. So I went along with him, but then had to change colors, designs, etc. To make this
work. We were not aware that your installers operated any where but Las Cruces, so we hired a private
contractor to install them for us. Big mistake, When he finished, there were gaps in the door frame, holed
at the top and bottom, and I hated the stainless steel screening because it would not keep the bugs out.
So, we went to see Gabe again, ordered the doors we had originally ordered, and your installers came
and installed them and took the previously installed doors back. The independent contractor we called the
first time charged us $700.oo to install the doors. And ever when your installer finished, they told us to
finish the job ourselves. Overall, a costly, frustrating experience, especially since we got no credit at all
for the doors we returned. Not a really great overall experience, to be truthful. Thank you, Carol and

I love the appearance until it started to rust on the exterior. I received it in October 2014 and I noticed it started rusting in the spring of 2015. It appears around the bottom of the top rows of bars and on the bottom of the middle designs on all three. I looked at the warranty, but EXCLUDES rust. I love the look of the door and I have received many compliments. It is a very sturdy door and allows fresh air in. However, I'm not sure how to fix the problem to a door only 7 months old, I just can't stress how disappointed I am and I would NOT recommend until they warrant against rust.

Astecially, excellant. It is very sturdy and durable. I love the way it enhances my home. I was not aware this did not come with storm door inserts. It is just a screen. The other issue I have is in the middle section there is a small screen, which could easily be torn and someone could insert their hand and turn the inside lock which would allow someone access. You are also responsible for purchasing the locks, two required. so make sure when you do buy the locks, one of them can not be opened with a latch but a key to provide the needed security.

The floor model shows three separate screens for each section of the door. When I opened up the packaging I had one large screen. I ordered the door at the local Home Depot and was under the impression that the accompanying screen was like the floor model. What was even more disappointing was that the screen I had received was too narrow. There was no means of even attaching the screen I was sent. If the screen structure has options it needs to be stated so on the website and on the floor model. Now I have to deal directly with the manufacturer. Yes I'd recommend the door, but please clarify for future customers which screen option they are buying when ordering.

The door is fair/OK I can see grind marks on the corners where it was welded together. The screens didn't ship with the doors so I had to make another trip to the store and install site.
