Answer:
Yes. The handle is black, and pretty flimsy. It's not attached to the door, so you'll have to measure carefully and drill three holes. Don't use the plastic guide that comes with the kit. It's too shallow. Use the paper template. Good luck.

I see that a dog door can be installed onto this door. How is this done? Will the protective screen at the base of the door be cut or removed to allow for the installation of the dog door?

Answer:
Buy a storm door for dog door installment. DO NOT try to add anything to this door... the puny hinge system can barely support the door.

Rose, thank you for your interest in the Riviera hinged screen door. This door has a standard screen door handle with a push button on the outside; it latches in place but does not lock. For more information on the handle, please view the installation video on the product page, at 3:20. I hope this information is helpful.

Howdy Ruarto,
There is hardware included. I've included screen capture of the hardware. If you think you need longer, you could try 3" long ceramic coated decking screws for super hold.
Happy Screening,

Rated 1.6 out of 5 by 12 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Sorry I bought this door. The second bolt for the door handle wouldn't thread in all the way and it sheared off when I tried to. No hardware store in the SF Balley had that bolt. Fortunaely, I found one in my garage and cut it down. To make the door fit vertically the end channel didn't seem to have enough to make it solid so I have a gap on the bottom and need to buy a second one but the manufacturer ignored my request to buy one. Home Depot doesn't sell them. So I will need to find another mfg that will respond or have a local shop make one for me. The door closer doesn't seem to have sufficient adjustment. With a half-turn it goes from slamming the door to not closing it hard enough to make it lock. June 10, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not so simple Three trips to Home Depot and $200 later for a handyman I knew after watching the video it would be an impossible project for me. Once it was installed we found that the Door Closer had no air in it so the door slammed. Bought a new one that didn't fit in the allocated space. I'm delighted to have the door installed but at a total $300 including $100 purchase? Not worth it! July 6, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by A basic screen door, screwed up! This adjustable door takes a basic screen door and makes it a ridiculous amount of effort in futility. I'm just your basic DIY home owner, with 30 years of experience making things work... and I am disgusted that this product requiring 10 screws and 2 cuts took me 3 hours, and the best final result I could get was an inconsistent flimsy product that I have no faith in. DO NOT BUY THIS FOR YOURSELF .(maybe for your brother-in-law though). May 7, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Very hard to install Took me 4 hours to install this thing due to failure of the adjustable width "feature." The screws on the adjuster froze; best to simply remove the nuts from the adjuster. The handle was very difficult to install which turned out to be because the machine screws screw into the handle but the handles has no machine screw threads so you have to "create" your own before installation by forcing the machine screws into the handle which could be very difficult for many without the patience or hand strength. As someone else mentioned, if you aren't reasonably handy, (in my case I had to use a wedge to cut out part of the jam), forget this door. July 14, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Too many issues For the 32 inch: Pros: The web video was excellent. Cons: Had about 6 screws missing (scrounged replacements from my stores), latch was frozen (needed to dunk it in graphite to get it to work), took about 5 hours to install (I'm pretty adept with tools), screen was not properly installed in the frame. Not worth the money. Recommend you do not buy unless you're handy with tools. June 9, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor design, not recommended I installed this door for a neighbor and it took nearly two days screwing around with the door to make it work. It was too narrow for a 36" wide opening although that is what it was designed for. Had to use a wood filler on the hinge side and mortise the hinges. Instructions were extremely poor. Threaded adjustment screws were fine thread and cross threaded when trying to make the width adjustment. All in all, this is not a door for a DYI installation. I am a general contractor and not a novice. The design may look good on paper but in actuality, the engineering design couldn't have been fully tested. Do not recommend the door at all. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by never another This one is the fourth I have purchased for my properties but the first in white. It came with all black hardware and accessories. Had to install for the safety of the tenants toddler. In a word "ugly". Contacted the manufacturer for a replacement kit but was told "all white doors come with all black hardware". Unbelievable. These are standard off-the-shelf items available in all standard colors. I had to buy my own. The door is not that easy to install because the measuring/cutting instructions are prone to error. door will not extend to its advertised range and becomes flimsy near that range. In summary, never another. July 5, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Terrible Door! Stay Away! Purchased the 32" version of this door to fit my 32" opening. Door was not wide enough. Had to order a "trim kit" from the manufacturer to make it fit. Trim kit was two pieces of 3/4" x 1" pvc and eight finish nails. The adjustment screws to make the door wider are the only two screws that hold it together. Mine broke within two weeks. Closer and handle that come with the door are junk as well. Had to buy better ones at additional cost. This door is junk and I would not recommend it to anyone. Took mine back and will look for a better quality door elsewhere. August 2, 2013
