Yes, it comes with everything you need. The rollers are much better than the generic door/rollers the developer installed. Height-wise it is adjustable which, in my opinion, was the hardest part of the installlation; trying to lengthen the end-frame to get it exactly tall enough so the mosquitoes wouldn't come in through the gap (if you extend the frame too far). Answer:
No. In order to get this door working even halfway reasonably you're going to need to buy replacement metal wheels for both the top and bottom of the door. The wheels which come with the door are junk and do not work well at all.

Answer:
Yes, they will. I have a '98 Honda Accord. While I can fit an 8' ladder inside my car, a screen door won't fit.
I brought 50' of rope, I had bought at Dollar-Tree for $1. The Millerwork manager (HD department that sells doors) walked me to my car and helped me load it on my roof and tie it down. I drove 20mph on the way home.

Every screen I have measured fully retracted is 78 inches.
77 5/8 measurement is a myth if manufacturer made them a tad shorter there would be fewer complaints

Customer Reviews

Rated 1.8 out of 5 by 63 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by I wish I read the reviews... I thought I was doing something wrong until I read the reviews. Ugh. The rollers and springs are junk, the plastic is so cheap and thin. Heck, a spork at KFC would make a better roller. I was going to return it, but it appears that the other hardware stores in our area sell the exact same design with a different brand. The door itself seems as solid as the one I replaced. So I'm going to use my McGyver skills (the 80's McGyver, not the 2016 one!) and see if I can modify the rollers or replace them with a good metal replacement set so the door actually slides October 23, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Frustrating and ultimately useless. Design is correct, but nothing works well enough, quality is the issue. The door tries to solve every problem and it doesn't get there. The door bends too easily, the wheels and wheel springs are too weak, and ultimately the thing just frustrates my wife and makes me angry. Other comments describe the issues in detail, but the point is, they need to make everything work better because the design is there but nothing holds up. October 23, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good product It works fairly well. It wasn't that expensive. I was able to install it with my limited tools and knowledge of repair work. Installation was a bit difficult even with instructions but that could just be me and the fact that the track was dirty. Unless you are familiar with repair work I recommend you have an assistant, it is easier with help. October 25, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Garbage, Garbage, Garbage Where do I start 1. HD says it will fit a standard 6' 8" door but with the frame fully extended it's a half inch too short. 2. The wheels are thin flimsy plastic so they will not stay on the track 3. The wheel springs are so weak the door bottoms out metal to metal under its own weight. 4. The frame does not stay square causing it to bind and come off the track. If you look there has not been a good review in over a year. HD most likely changed vendors and is now selling a product that DOES NOT WORK. DO NOT waste your time and money on this junk. My advise to HD: Take these off the shelf and find a new vendor that will manufacture to spec. August 2, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Too Small Poor Quality Control Advertised to fit 80 inch in height. Out of the box fully extended 79 1/4 in could barely get it to fit in the track and would fall out. Have installed a lot of these screens in my life. Poor quality control obviously.. My old screen measured exactly 80 and fit. Nothing worse then having to repackage and take back for a return. Mayby I just had a defective. You may want to measure before leaving the store and check to see if it is fully extended. August 21, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Deceptive Product Description The product description says door expands to a height of 80 ", but in reality it only increases to a maximum of 79". I had an older model ( I believe by the same manufacturer) that fit fairly welI and lasted about 10 years. This door is too short and would rub against the patio door. I will be returning the door to Home Depot. August 27, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Aweful. Just aweful. Spent quite a lot of time with the baby trying to get it right, but honestly it's just junk. It doesn't fit well, one of the screws was not usable, the hardware is flimsy. It's really bad. WIsh I had read the review first--- I wouldn't have bothered! August 24, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Didn't fit well - wasted money Flimsy construction, didn't fit well as the bottom wraps/collars used to adjust fit too snugly. I easily crumpled frame in trying to get in frame initially - so even if it could be returned before, probably a lost cause now. The adjustment screws do little to address this. So it slides badly, gets caught, won't latch, etc. July 22, 2016
