This product is made for a 36" door. To my surprise is the way you are suppose to modify it for lesser size door. Hack saw and tin snips. It says 30" to 36" on the package. That kind of labeling makes you believe it is already prepared for those door sizes. I placed this product on a 32" door. If I didn't have the right tool to install this product it would be returned to the store for a refund. I did modify the door plate with tin snips. It was hard but I cut small areas at a time. Cut and snap off. Not a kit for a beginner. It does give my screen door a professional finish.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by John Don't Bother buying this kit
Do not bother buying this kit for your security door. I only could use the top piece - the rest did not fit nor were the instructions any good. So now I have 3 of the 4 pieces just sitting around! And forget about the "special" threshold you get with this package - it's useless!

Is supposed to fit 32" - 36" door. Bottom bar and threshold both can be cut to fit, but top piece CANNOT! Instruction sheet says this piece is for 36" door only, and cannot be modified, which is correct. I needed to fabricate wood filler piece to cover gap at to of door jamb. I installed on both 32" and 36" doors Easy to install, directions clear. Take your time cutting threshold, to not have gaps around jamb, make cardboard template first, if needed. Also tubing and threshold cannot be cut with sheet metal cutters, despite what instructions say; I used hack saw, with good results.
Package says to use this kit to seal out dust, wind, rain and noise, but it's used on a security door, made from tubing and wire mesh. Funny!

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Neicy Trim kit does not seal door in its entirety
The security door seal kit did not fully cover the openings around the door. It was a waste of money to buy this kit.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by JRock cannot add this later, instructions unclear
This is not an "add-on", it needs to be part of the original door install.
Due to the non-removable, one-way screws needed for security, this seal kit must be done at the beginning of the installation of the door. Nowhere did I find that information until after I attempted to install it.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by orion5893 Very useful but required a lot of modifying.
Very useful seal kit but just about every piece required modifying. The threshold being the worst in that you have a lot of more metal to cut. I used a "5 in. 7.5 Amp Heavy Duty Double Cut Saw" that I got from Harbor Freight to cut through the metal like butter. Made the job so much easier to do! I'm not sure if Home Depot sales something similar but it sure helps. Maybe practice with the tool first so you don't mess up on cuts since you don't get second chance unless you go out and buy another kit. So be careful. I also used strong tin snips for some of the smaller cuts.
