How is the product REMOVED from ductwork (I.E. when duct is going to be used)? Can the product be reinstalled at the next season when it's time to plug the duct again? Be more specific how it is used/installed and what the product is like physically as it is being removed from the packaging. Sheets/batts? One large piece? A "mound" of product (like cotton candy)?

Universal Duct Insulator is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does the job The sides of the bag were open so the filling is exposed. But it functions as expected.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Effective I recently bought this insulator because the furnace and the swamp cooler in our home share the same duct work, which results in a huge amount of heat loss in the winter thought the cooler. We tried covering it last year and putting insulation in place of the cooler pads but it did not help much. With the heater running I could stand on the roof and almost keep warm next to it. You could see the cooler cover expand out from the escaping air. I put this insulator into the duct opening in the cooler yesterday evening and fired up the heater. I can now stick my hand down into the duct above the pillow and I feel no heat escape at all. It works amazing, looking forward to discovering the real savings through the winter months.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quiets AND Insulates! We bought 2 of these - our house has 2 different sized coolers, and winds reach 60 mph out here in the NM desert in the spring. These pads are terrific! They adapted instantly to both cooler duct sizes, and seemed to seal without air leaks. Bonus: the loud rumbling and booming sounds coming from our cooler ducts during windy conditions are reduced by at least three-quarters! The quality of construction seems very good, and coupled with great performance and reasonable price, this insulator pillow is a real winner for us.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice product Nice to use, simply open remove a few blades from the diverter and slip the insulator through. My only concern would be the cover getting torn by sharp metal or screws. It does fill the space and seal from outside air entering the house.
