I'm installing a Iron double door in a restaurant, huge lots of daily traffic, do you think this would work good with this?
I read some reviews that say door is difficult to open with this door closer, but this is a Iron door!

Someone is suggesting to buy a Medium -duty but is not a wood or aluminum door!!

What do you suggest?

Do you think it would be to heavy?

Rated 3.7 out of 5 by 6 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I read the manufacturer's instructions and determined that this was the right product for me. It's great. I had first read the online reviews at Home Depot which were supposed to be for this particular model. People had written in that this product is junk, doesn't work properly and cannot be adjusted to work as desired. I looked up the manufacturer's web page, read the instructions, and determined that the product representation is contrary to the reviews which people had submitted. This particular door closer, when installed using the positions which are identified in the instructions, is fully adjustable. The adjustments for all four areas worked well for me. The closing "sweep" speed was easy to adjust, and so was the "latch" speed (the last few inches of travel in which the door securely hits the frame for the latch to engage), the door opening tension (I think it's referred to as the Power adjustment), I did try to set this a little on the easy side so that it's not too difficult for people to pull or push the door open, and the back-pressure, which prevents people from pushing the door open so fast that the door slams into the wall. All for areas of adjustment worked very nicely for me. I installed two of these door closers, and I would not hesitate to buy more of the same model. May 2, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Hard to open, does not meet ADA The door closer works fine and has adjustments for closing speed, latching speed and power to close the door. What is non adjustable is the opening force and it takes A LOT of force to open. Called the manufacturer and they say it is non adjustable and recommended the medium duty opener. I read the medium duty review and the same complaint is made there too. No reason to have the door closer open with so much effort. This is on a restaurant bathroom so sees lots of use. I removed and returned it. June 23, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good but hard to open Bought this for a solid core front door. This closer works well and seems to be well built. Door speed and latching adjustments work well. The only issue is that even at its lowest spring power setting, the door is hard to open. Spoke to the manufacturer, who was very helpful, and they suggested a medium duty model instead of this heavy duty one which they say is for heavier commercial doors. The replacement is still a little hard to open but not as much. I wish it had a hold open feature. Instructions are not very clear, and it doesn't come with templates, so watch an installation video on a similar model before starting. August 13, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Value Nice product, great value, easy to install & is sturdy, well built. This unit is an excellent choice for high traffic commercial locations, would be over kill for residential. Would highly recommend this product vs the high cost of other units that start at $130 +. March 12, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by worst purchase ever I have purchased 6 of these door closers and within six months to a year i had to replace all of them due to leaking oil and not working properly. December 29, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works fine Instructions a bit confusing, but overall the product works fine. Instructions omit an action that needs to be taken for the door to close properly. April 23, 2013
