Answer:
The set contains two seats and two springs. It is recommended that if you need to replace your seats and springs for one (say hot) then you should replace the cold at the same time.

Answer:
No the springs will be too stiff for keybrd use.
Suggest you pop a cap off a 'key' you know you will NOT be using e.g. the Pause/Break key foe example, and move it's spring to the position you need.

Cannot get similar parts for a different brand faucet, but these look the same. Would appreciate if you could provide diameter (outside rim to rim) and height of rubber seat. Thanks!

Answer:
The large end goes into the faucet, and the small end goes into the rubber washer. The rubber washer fits over the small end of the spring. It won't fit over the large end of the spring. The large end goes in first, then the rubber washer goes on top of the small end and fits into the faucet.

Hi John,
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # RP4993 has a spring with a bigger end and a smaller end. The bigger end will go first into the hole and then the seat will go on top of it.
Thanks.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by BUY DELTA made part Instead!!!! Buy the Delta made parts! I bought these first and the leak/drip continued. February 27, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by exactly what I wanted and needed. The seals and springs are OEM and stopped the constant drip. January 14, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy purchase Just what I needed for an easy fix for a drip. Easy to find for a quick fix. December 8, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good Product I looked far and wide for this universal kit repair kit to fix my faucet leak after using the faucel for 30 years. It happened to fit my old faucet to a T. Just don't screw the faucet nut (not included) on too tightly, because it will rub adversely on the valve open and close actions. September 2, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by DeltaUniversal Seats and Springs Repair Kit / DeltaVictorian 1.5 GPM Aerator in Venetian Bronze Both parts were discontinued, but when ordered they were the perfect fit and very easy to install. September 15, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Finally got the right one (seats) About a month ago, I purchased the universal faucet repair kit as water was dripping from the base, aerator and the handle areas. It fixed the problem except after about a week, the water start dripping from the aerator again. I bought the non Delta seats and replaced but water kept dripping. Finally bought this Delta Model # RP4993 and took care of the aerator drip problem. I magnified this Delta RP4993 and the other seats to compare and found out that the seat area that contacts the ball assembly is shaped differently - the RP4993 is much flatter and the non Delta seat has a rounded surface. Needless to say, the RP4993's flatter surface has more contact area preventing water escaping causing the aerator drip. March 1, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 5 minutes, $5 to fix a leaky faucet After watching my bathroom faucet drip for a couple of weeks I decided to see how difficult it would be to fix. I am reasonably handy but have little plumbing experience. Delta has a 5 minute instructional video online that uses a single lever faucet but double handle faucets are quite similar. After reading reviews of the Danco brand I decided to spend the extra $3 and get the Delta kit. Worked exactly like the video and was done in 5 minutes. No more leak. Took one point off of value because they are more than twice the competitor and I cannot say firsthand they work any better. I can say they worked as advertised and are much cheaper than calling a plumber. March 25, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Right parts for super easy fix Right parts for a super easy fix of my 13 year old Delta faucet. The faucet would drip when the handle was turned off in the center. Drip would stop when handle was raised slightly to the right. It took $5 and 10 minutes to fix and I couldn't be happier. Props to HD for the plumbing rep recommending the genuine Delta parts. If you replace these every 10 years, it's worth the extra few dollars for the genuine parts. February 28, 2015
