Customer Questions & Answers

What is your definition of '1 set of seats and springs'?

Does '1 set of seats and springs' mean 1 seat and 1 spring or 2 seats and 2 springs (hot AND cold)?
Asked by: Anonymous
One set is two springs and two gaskets, enough to repair one set of shower valve ;)

my keyborad broke and i need a spring for it do you think that one of yourse could get the job done? i have a christmas performence comming up.

i need that spring fixed asap so i can practice and be realy good when the time comes do you have any springs in stock that would help.
Asked by: Anonymous
No the springs will be too stiff for keybrd use. Suggest you pop a cap off a 'key' you know you will NOT be using e.g. the Pause/Break key foe example, and move it's spring to the position you need.

Require dimensions of rubber seat, please.

Cannot get similar parts for a different brand faucet, but these look the same. Would appreciate if you could provide diameter (outside rim to rim) and height of rubber seat. Thanks!
Asked by: Mick
The rubber part is about 7/16ths inch in diameter, and about 1/4th inch high.

Which end of spring goes into hole and which end goes into rubber seat?

Asked by: john
The large end goes into the faucet, and the small end goes into the rubber washer. The rubber washer fits over the small end of the spring. It won't fit over the large end of the spring. The large end goes in first, then the rubber washer goes on top of the small end and fits into the faucet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 5 minutes, $5 to fix a leaky faucet After watching my bathroom faucet drip for a couple of weeks I decided to see how difficult it would be to fix. I am reasonably handy but have little plumbing experience. Delta has a 5 minute instructional video online that uses a single lever faucet but double handle faucets are quite similar. After reading reviews of the Danco brand I decided to spend the extra $3 and get the Delta kit. Worked exactly like the video and was done in 5 minutes. No more leak. Took one point off of value because they are more than twice the competitor and I cannot say firsthand they work any better. I can say they worked as advertised and are much cheaper than calling a plumber.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works as advertised and easy to install I had originally purchased the Danco RP4993 when I couldn't locate the Delta RP4993 at my local store. I figured I would give them a try to fix my leaky faucet. When compared to the existing spring and seat they visually looked like a match. After a half hour of trying to get the seat installed unsuccessfully, I gave up on this product. I went back out and purchased the Delta RP4993. Within seconds I was able to get the spring and seat installed with the Delta. Do yourself a favor and pay the extra few dollars to buy the Delta version. The product works great and my leaky faucet is fixed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent part, better than imitation Danco parts I had the chance to compare these original (OEM) seats and springs repair kit to Danco brand imitation Delta repair kit. The quality of the Delta seats is obviously superior. The material is more supple and the surface is very smooth, whereas the Danco seats seem to be made of poor quality material. I would definitely recommend this over the Danco parts, even though it is slightly more expensive.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally got the right one (seats) About a month ago, I purchased the universal faucet repair kit as water was dripping from the base, aerator and the handle areas. It fixed the problem except after about a week, the water start dripping from the aerator again. I bought the non Delta seats and replaced but water kept dripping. Finally bought this Delta Model # RP4993 and took care of the aerator drip problem. I magnified this Delta RP4993 and the other seats to compare and found out that the seat area that contacts the ball assembly is shaped differently - the RP4993 is much flatter and the non Delta seat has a rounded surface. Needless to say, the RP4993's flatter surface has more contact area preventing water escaping causing the aerator drip.
