Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by brianP I bought 3 of these less then 2 years ago, and 2 are already defective
I put an addition on my house less than 2 years ago, and bought all new smokes/smoke CO detectors throughout my whole house. I bought these because they weren't cheap, and I figured id be getting what I paid for. Well, already 2 of the 3 CO detectors are defective and beeping all the time giving false alarms. Ive had my local fire department verify it because I didn't want to take a chance that they were actual real alarms. Ive tried contacting the manufacturer 4 different times now, and I haven't received one call back or an email. do your self a favor and DO NOT BUY THESE!!!!

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by RyanS Garbage that falses within a year
The ones that came with the house when I bought it were falsing so I gave them another chance knowing the previous owners probably never cleaned them or anything.
My house is spotless and I vacuumed them out regularly and they still failed within a year.

The hardwired Fire,Carbon Monoxide and Natural Gas alarm seems like a good product. They were very easy to install in place of our old fire alarms. They seem plenty load just by using the test button. Luckily we haven't had to rely on them, but I'm confident they will do as they should.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Natasha I would give zero stars if I could
Worked for less than a year and constantly gave off false alarms for CO (always in the middle of the night!). Replaced batteries and continued to get false alarms. Contacted the company and they were less than helpful and charged me $11.00 for a replacement that I still have not received. While still waiting for a replacement another one of the alarms has also stopped working. Waste of money, just another worthless piece of garbage made in china.

Everyone should have this device on the wall in a common area of their homes. It is also advised that homeowners have another carbon monoxide alarm near to the floor.
This item meets all of my expectations.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Lochan Did not work
Problem is that its complicated, in that needs battery only as the backup and needs to be connected to hard wire. OK, so I did all that, and guess what, it still keeps beeping every 40 secs. I had to read thru the fine printed brochure/guide, and whatever is says for "40 sec" signal does not apply.
To think that I recommended this to many of my friends only to write again and tell them that it did not work out.
Idea is just great, 4-1, and I really need that! Now, thinking that my 2 units were faulty batch, I tried ordering again, but it does not ship to CA any more :(

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by TimM Best Smoke Alarm on the Planet
Best smoke alarm on the planet. I have had clients put these in a number of houses that were getting false alarms all the time. Now they have none. In houses where alarms had been ripped out of the ceilings because of false alarms, now the alarms stay put, changing an unprotected house into a safe one. In my own house we had problems every week: humid days, neighbor firing up his wood boiler, dinner being ready, etc. Now we have no problems at all.
Plus, I don't have to run around the house looking for a flashing light that tells me which unit is causing the alarm. A push of the button, on ANY alarm will cause only the offending alarm to beep, making it easy to find. This detector also solves the problem of alarms that are out of reach, as I can silence that alarm from one that is mounted at a more convenient height.
Their website says this alarm, according to a university study, is the fastest responding alarm out there to detect fast flaming fires, which you would get an ionization alarm for. It responds 87% faster (than required?) for slow smoldering fires, which you would get an ionization alarm for. Better than both kinds, and the "Microprocessor Intelligence" might be just a cool way to market it, but it really did eliminate all the false alarms in my home, and my clients' homes.
