Answer: 
It has the same form factor as the 1204 but is a battery-only device. Your 1204 is battery and 120volt.
The 1122L-6P will work, but won't be powered by ac; only 9volt dc.

All you need is a drill driver and a hammer to insert holes into the ceiling for the screws and their ceiling-hanging brackets. It took me (a novice) a good 6 to 8 minutes in installing each fire alarm. August 12, 2015
