My lights will not dim.

I bought this product instilled it twice and can not get the lights to dim. I have used LED dimables and CFL dimables both 60w equivalents. The fan I am using is a Brookhurst 52 in. White Ceiling Fan Model # YG268-WH Internet # 202064232 Store SKU # 468282. Why wont the fan lights dim, please help.
Asked by: djpalazz
When you try to dim the lights are you holding down the light button? You have to hold it down. If you have tried that and it still doesn't dim, then try putting in regular incandescant bulbs and confirm that it will dim then. If it dims regular bulbs then you know that the remote is working and that you need different bulbs that are dimmable.

reversible fan capable?

During a remodel the electrician replaced the original switch on our fan to this one and for the life of me I can't figure out how to reverse the blades for summer. Is this switch cabable of that? The is no separate toggle switch on the fan to do this.
Asked by: Lynn
This was a problem until I read online, (1) the person toggled between the Med Speed and off button until the fan reversed (This fixed mine after 20 times of toggle) The other, the person would hit off, spin the ran in reverse and turn back on until it switched. OFF Spin fan, Turn back on. Not sure....

This control worked fine for about 2 months, now it does nothing. Could the battery be gone already?

Asked by: Disappointed
Always a possibility. That would be the second thing to check after confirming that you have power to the fan.

Hunter Universal Wall Mounted Ceiling Fan Control Model # 99111 Internet # 203690000 Store SKU # 349896

I am looking at replacing my fan remotes and this seems like a viable option. My question is: Does this remote hard wire into a normal two wire set up or is it just a remote that can be attached to a wall?
Asked by: Anonymous
Just a remote in the wall but you can change the battery without removing the wall plate. The bottom button on the face of the remote pops out to expose the battery also will not control a Hunter Fan which has an already existing integrated remote. This is because this in-wall remote has to be used with the included receiver. If your Hunter fan has an integrated receiver it can not be removed and replaced. If you wish to install this receiver into a Hunter fan with an integrated remote, you may have incompatibility issues, then I suggest you call Hunter phone support first.

This device puts an unsecured, easily accessible, button battery right into the kids bedroom. All other bad reviews aside. This product could lead to the death of your child if they were to remove the battery and then ingest it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Trash! Avoid this lime the plague. For $45 out of the store I expect the item to function properly. Home Depot should discontinue this piece of junk immediately. After proper installation it would only put out 25 volts to the fan.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Junk Appearance, looks icky and the buttons are loose. the battery compartment will shoot out and end up on the floor as it opens by pushing. Buttons are loosse and cheap. If it worked I may like it better. Installation is the most damaging part. YOU CAN'T UNLINK THEM FROM EACH OTHER. If your only installing one that maybe ok, but if your installing 2 or more they will all link together. Or if your neighbor has one,:) you will reset their code for thier fan, and they will think their place is haunted every time you push the light button or the fan. There fan will also go on or off.:) I had 3 linked together. Tech support emailed me a set of different instructions, but they were useless. They also say if it doesnt link the first time, to keep trying. These remotes are on sale, DAH, trying to get rid of the Junk!

The light switch function "freezes" keeping the light on and will not turn off. When this happens, all other functions fail too. Reseting the breaker to the fan does not help. Must flip the breaker to turn the light off, then re-sync the control the fan. Fan controls work fine the rest of the time. We've just stopped using the light switch in our bedroom and use a lamp instead. We returned the first unit for this reason, and second unit does exactly the same thing. Terrible product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from If I could give zero stars I would This is by far the worst design. We had purchased these in the past and they worked great. Yeah they tend to wear out but it's to be expected. This new design is completely wireless with no dip switches. Apparently it syncs wirelessly and that's great until you need to do it in more than one room. Then they start syncing with each other and controlling each other. Customer support is terrible and can't help. They give you this stupid procedure of unhooking the receiver of all the fans and then resetting it by turning the circuit breaker off and on 12 times. That's lovely. Then what happens? Doing this procedure blows the receiver in the fan and then their customer support hassles you about sending a replacement when you purchased it less than 2 months ago. Never never again will I purchase a hunter product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Garbage I am a electrician by trade and have installed many fan light controllers, by far this is the worst I have ever seen. About every 2 days it needs to be "paired" again.... Home Depot should take this product off of there shelf...

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do Not Purchase! Doesn't work with Hampton Bay ceiling fan. I tried multiple different connections and none were compatible. Save your money! I purchased one from Lowe's and it worked great, first try!
