installing on existing roof, with 1/2 plywood - how critical is it to actually nail into the frame, as opposed to just the plywood? Also, should some roofing material be used at nail holes to prevent leaking?

Thanks

Answer:
yes!!! Hit the framing. that is the structure that will be saving your life if you fall. Do you trust a piece of plywood to handle a 5000 lb hit?

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 2 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good value for essential safety equipment Effective fall prevention tie-off. Looks great (nearly invisible) when installed. Comes complete as packaged, with needed fasteners. The only difficult part is in properly locating the rafter centers to nail it to, since they are covered with roofing prior to installation of the anchor. August 11, 2015
