Garbage disposal

Will this sink support a disposal?
Asked by: TangoCharly
Hi TangoCharly, The drain in this sink is only 1 1/2 inches in diameter, thus a garbage disposal will not fit and the sink will not support it. Mike

What is the maximum weight this tub holds.

Asked by: Booska
I did not see a specification so i called engineering. They indicated it at 300lbs. The logic is that it has been tested to hold 36 gallons of water at 8lbs per gallon which is 288 plus a little extra.

Does it come with hardware to connect to drain pipe? p-trap?

Asked by: Seeman1
no, there is a built in drain connector, rubber stopper and hex nut to attach the tailpiece included, but you must provide the tailpiece and all other needed items to connect to your drain system.

Drop-in mount in custom cabinet?

Would it be possible to mount this tub inside a custom cabinet?
Asked by: jkohles
That is an interesting idea. That is not the intended use but I think it could be done. The sink does not have straight sides, which will add some complexity. But if the cabinet person has the skill I would think it could be done nicely. I am a pretty good plumber and know I could not do it but I am sure there are those who could.

Can a overhead laundry faucet be mountes to this sink? Such as Model # 3310-250-RB-B

Asked by: Mac
The sink comes without the faucet holes punched out. So you certainly could use this faucet. But if i were going to go through the trouble of upgrading my sink I would also up grade my faucet. You see these clamp style faucets go back 100 years to the days of soap stone sinks. Where you would clamp them on the rim. If I were going to use this sink and potentially put my dog or other large things in it, I would bring the pipes around the side and up underneath. Then I would use a good quality laundry tray faucet like a Gerber. One that would accommodate an aerator or a garden hose. I would want to be able to attach the short garden hose to act as a spray, Again what I like and is just my opinion of how I set them up. So please take it with a grain of salt.

Had to add 6-inch extensions to the legs to raise the tub enough that I didn't have to bend over while bathing my dog. I knew this would be necessary when I placed the order due to the dimensions/specifications in the online catalog. Variable leg lengths for this tub would preclude the modification I made to adjust the height to my needs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice tub Bought this to upgrade from a double-sink old school concrete monstrosity....single tub is great size to bathe my 50 lb dog. Very lightweight so def needs secured to floor or wall. Of course, price is an issue...$169 for a plastic tub? But it was pricier at Lowes. Overall ok. .

The picture of the dog in the tub is very deceiving. It would not work for a big dog. It is too shallow. It would be ok for small to medium dogs.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not bad; could be better; only choice out there if you want a big tub. Very flimsy legs. I bolted mine to the floor and attached it to the wall, otherwise it would be very wobbly. Legs need to be sturdier. Opted for the package without the faucet because reviews said the faucet was super cheap and I'm sure it was. Wish the plastic tub was made of heavier material. It is what it is and there are no other comparable tubs out there if you want a large one with no divider in the middle. Get a screen for the drain or you may lose small things down it. I installed a faucet with a shower head, which is handy for rinsing out the corners of the tub. Installation was straightforward. So far, after a couple weeks, I have no complaints.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for my needs The Bigtub Utilatub was exactly what I wanted. I am using it for a washout booth for my screen printing business. It is super deep and plenty wide to support all my different sized screens. The install was probably the easiest I've ever done. Plug this leg in, that leg in, screw this onto the legs, done! Couldn't have been more pleased with my purchase.
