Answer:
Yes, you can clean from the inside by removing the diffuser (using a flat edge such as a butter knife) from the unit to clean any debris/bugs from the unit.

We will be replacing our old shingle roof with a steel roof soon. Are there install kits for steel roofs? I currently have three Velux light pipes installed and would like to install three more.

Hi, I have 2 questions:
1. I have a normal pitched shingle roof probably about 45 degree angle. I don't have a very large attic. I don't think it's more than 6' tall at the highest point. I need to install one sun tunnel tubular skylight in a room that is close to the center of the house, so I was wondering if I can go with the rigid tunnel and pitched flashing? I like the 10 inch size. I would appreciate any guidance.

2. How do I find someone to install once I purchase the materials? I would also like to install a light kit with the skylight, so the installer has to be able to install the light kit in addition to the skylight.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Answer:
Yes, you can purchase and have installed the 10" Pitched Rigid Sun Tunnel (TMR 010 0000D). The pitched Sun Tunnel is typical used in an area that does not receive a lot a sun light (i.e., northern exposure). To find a certified VELUX Installer, simply click on the link, which will bring you to the Installer Locator on the VELUX website: http://www.veluxusa.com/help-and-advice/presales/find-installer. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Adds lots of light to the room. This sun tunnel transformed our dimly lit kitchen area into a bright and airy space. My wife is VERY pleased with the result. Instructions are clear, and easy to follow. A statement on the box claims a two hour installation. That may be true if you've done it before and have an ideal situation. There are plenty of installation videos on Youtube that are helpful. Shipping to our home was fast. November 12, 2014
