The 10" Sun Tunnel must be used a roof pitch between 15-60 degrees. We do have a rigid model, 14", for flat roof. The model is TCR 014. Thank you.

Answer:
They sell both kinds..a straight tube and one that bends. As long as you have room between your ceiling and your roof I see no reason why you could not. Once again I have to say I LOVE THESE!!!! the amount of light is amazing, even on a cloudy day I get light. Good luck

Answer:
The roof pitch requirement for the Sun Tunnel is 14 to 60 degrees. You can install it on a sloped ceiling, however, there must be at least 12" of attic space between the roof deck and the ceiling. Thank you.

Answer:
Yes, the diffuser can be installed on a sloped ceiling. Also, if you are installing a Rigid Sun Tunnel, there must be 12" of attic space betwee the roof deck and the ceiling. If you are installing a Flexible Sun Tunnel, there must be 6" of attic space between the roof deck and ceiling. Thank you.

Answer:
The tunnel sections may be cut to accomodate a shorter run from ceiling to roof. The minimum spacing would be approximately 6 inches. In short "run" situations, usually the upper elbow will be trimmed to fit.

Answer:
Yes you can cut down the tube to the size you need or if you need a longer tube you can get an extension. I am saving up right now for 4 more tubes. I don't know how I ever lived without them. I love, love, love my solar tubes.

Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 21 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worst purchase ever Missing upper flange for tunnel that was not included in the box. Contractor could not install and item needs and will be returned to the store. Since this was a two week shipping order item I had to go to Lowes to purchase another Velux Sun Tunnel. Very very costly as the contractor charged me return trip travel cost. August 9, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Wish I would have stayed with the 14 inch i decided to have the 10 inch versus 14 inch installed over a kitchen island. Thought the 14 inch would be too big, but the actual light portion of the 10 inch is really less than 9 inches. The issue was though there are plenty of windows, most have solar shades over them in the summer, and the sun rises on the opposite side of the house so in the morning when reading the paper, I had to turn on an overhead light even though it was bright outside. The solar tube has helped tremendously but I still would have liked more natural light. Maybe I should wait until winter to rate this since I will be pulling up the solar shades then. July 5, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Dark Living Room Purchased online from Home Depot and Installed 2 of the 10" Velux Solar Tubes in our dark living room at about 10' apart. They look great and let enough light in that we no longer have to keep a lamp on during the day time. The design of the Velux tubes with the notched edges and spring clips will hold the tubes together making it simple to size each end for final assembly. December 29, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great skylight! This is an great-looking and very functional product that is easy to install..it is not expensive either...makes a big difference in your lighting at home...saves you some money too in electric bills June 10, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by We were able to install this item to our best visual advantage. As a result of keeping hallway doors closed to our four little pups, we had a very dark hallway. With the installation of this product, we now keep reminding each other that the light wasn't left on...we just have beautiful natural light in that hallway all day long. July 2, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Plenty of light We had our contractor install this skylight in our entryway, which has no direct window access. The difference is remarkable, and we have an ample amount of diffused light during the day. Heat transfer is minimal. We also installed the electric light accessory, for nighttime use, and essentially killed two birds with one stone. The light insert is not visible during the day (due to the translucent panel). Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works great for me I've never sawed a hole in my roof before but I gave it a shot. The job went better than I feared but the instructions were disappointing. They told me to do things but gave me no idea how to do it. EX: I put two lexan circles into a flexible ring but don't know here it belongs. Using a plumb I managed to get the holes in a straight line. The aluminum flashing unit is large, well made and easier to install than I feared. We've had heavy rain and there have been no leaks. You just join the tunnel sections by sliding them into each other then connect them securely with silver tape. The plastic ring in the hallway ceiling is high quality and very easy to install firmly. A totally dark area is now brightly lit. The Youtube videos were helpful. June 15, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by VERY nice product and lets in LOTS of light! This is the FOURTH skylight of this brand, size and style I have in my home and garage, lets in lots of light and fairly straight forward install. The flashing on this particular model is what I really like best, it sits high above the shingles but pleasing to the eye, well constructed of metal and powder coated..... Over the past few years the interior trim kit has improved too, more attractive and durable. The only thing I did NOT like was the shipping! Home Depot would not allow it to be shipped to the store for free pick-up and I thought $55 was too much for shipping.....I bit the bullet and paid it...... March 20, 2012
