Answer:
Laminated Glass is not the same as Impact. Impact Glass Model ends in 2006D (FS C06 2006D). Impact Glass is a stronger version of the laminated glass. Thank you.

Hello. This model comes with EDL flashing, which is designed for installing the skylight on a shingle, shake, or slate roof. If you have a different type of roof, you will need to order the skylight model that does not come with flashing (FS C06 2004) and order the flashing separately. For a tile roof, the flashing kit model for the skylight would be EDW C06, and for a metal roof, the flashing kit model Read More

For a tile roof, the flashing kit model for the skylight would be EDW C06, and for a metal roof, the flashing kit model would be EDM C06. The difference between them is the EDL/EDW/EDM models are for deck mount skylights and the ECL/ECW models are for curb mount skylights. Installing the appropriate VELUX flashing with your VELUX skylight qualifies the skylight for the 10-year No Leak installation warranty. I want to put two of these right next to each other with one 2x4 rafter in between them. Will that width give me enough space to properly install the flashing between the skylights, or is there some other type of flashing that is used when space is tight?

Answer:
When using the EDL Flashing system, you must space the skylights at least 12" apart (side by side). If you would like the units to be closer together, you must use the EKL Combination Flashing system. This allows you to space no less than 2-1/2" from frame to frame, up to 12", in half inch increments, i.e. 2-1/2"; 3; 3-1/2"; 4 and so on.
Thank you.
