In your answer ' The daylight area that the blinds will install into on the interior framing measures 27.2 X 43 in' That is correct size I can see from our skylight window. But still I don''t understand why this item(PAD M06 7001) show the demension or assembled size 39.38* 25.08 and depth 2.91 inch? Is this really for FS M06? My model no. FS M06 2005
Asked by: lulublue
We will look into the discrepancy in the dimensions that are shown on the website. However, I can assure you that the PAD M06 7001 is the correct blind for the FS M06 Skylight. Thank you for choosing VELUX!

FS M06

I wanted to buy this blind but the product demension shows 2.5 inches shorter(hight and width) than actual size. My FS M06 skylight is about 27 * 42.5 inches. Can I know exact size of this blind for FS M06?
Asked by: lulublue
The FS M06 has a rough opening of 30 1/16 X 45 3/4 in. The daylight area that the blinds will install into on the interior framing measures 27.2 X 43 in. If you can locate the actual serial number of your VELUX skylight we can tell you the part number of the blind you will need. If you are having trouble locating that information you can call customer service at 1-800-888-3589 and they can assist you in locating the VELUX serial number.

Customer Reviews

White Manually Operated Venetian Skylight Blind for FS M04 Models is rated 3.4 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice after the installation is complete The main comment I have is that the picture book used for installation instructions is a poor solution to communication in all languages. The Parts worked well after I trimmed the length to allow them to fit in the opening of the skylight. MY contractor placed drywall up to the wooden frame of the skylight which intruded into the space required for the parts. It works well after you figure out some of the details that were hard to get from the instructions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fit good I purchased these blinds for a customer of mine. They fit good, installation was fast especially after the first one.the instructions were ok but figuring exactly where to slide the sides in took a little thinking.I bought the manual ones & they operate as described.I also purchased the extending rod to open & close them.that also works good.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cheaper than purchasing directly from Velux These were a great price plus free shipping. Fairly easy to install. My husband had a little problem snapping them in, but once we reviewed the instructions on the Velux page it was a little clearer. Would recommend.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from No mounting brackets included The kit was missing the needed brackets to install the main part of the blinds. The instructions have NO words! Further, the instructions show nothing about this needed piece.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointing manufacturing accuracy The blind was specifically designed for the skylight model I have but I had to have a Velux pro come to install it (for $125) and he had a difficult time. Then it didn't fit right. It was too long for the skylight (seemed to have one slat too many) and left light gaps at the edges. When trying to shorten the blind he discovered (too late) that it's no longer possible to do that, due to the design so he had to order a new blind. That was 3 weeks ago because he hasn't been back to my area. So I have aluminum foil taped over the skylight to keep out the summer heat. The new blind is due to be installed in another week but he's only HOPING that it will have been manufactured to the exact size needed. I had previously installed (by myself) Velux pleated shades on 2 skylights in my last house, which went up easily and I loved them but they are no longer offered. I'm told the venetian blinds will soon be discontinued, also. I can see why, if their manufacturing tolerances are as lax as on this one. I don't hold out much hope for the replacement to fit correctly, either.
